Biography
As the son of a nurse and surgeon, Dr. West knew at a very young age he would pursue a career in medicine. Dr. West received his Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College in Claremont, CA and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He then interned in the surgical laboratory at the University of California, Irvine where he helped test new technologies for heart bypass surgery. During this time he published journal articles in the fields of trauma and cardiac surgery. He attended the prestigious six-year integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he trained under world-renowned surgeons in the fields of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery. After completing his residency, Dr. West pursued a subspecialty in aesthetic surgery at the distinguished Manhattan, Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. During this year, he gained extensive experience and studied advanced techniques in cosmetic surgery of the face and body under the direction of internationally recognized experts. He was also a mentor and instructor for plastic surgery residents from NYU and Cornell University.

Dr. West and his staff are a welcomed change to your typical plastic surgery office. They are very friendly, warm, and professional. Dr. West is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain the procedures to me. He did not try to "up sell" me as most cosmetic surgery places do.
