Get your life back......says Dr vanderpump. Well if someone actually will answer the phone good show. I spent days hours weeks emailing ringing and then after reading the reviews thought o sod it. I have been ill for five years with thyroid disease and found the medication pure hell. Dr vanderpump is not moving with the times if he thinks Levothyroxine is adequate, has he not encounterd conversion issues in patients. Shall not bother with this bloke.

Avoid this doctor at all costs! My experience with Dr Mark Vanderpump was awful and really highlighted the gender bias that exists in women's healthcare. Dr Vanderpump completely disregarded my symptoms, showed no interest and was in a rush to get off the phone. He was unable to offer any insight on my blood results, scanned them briefly on the call and said they suggested I had PCOS but are fine - even though my LH and FSH was quite severely out of balance, my prolactin levels were abnormally high as flagged by my doctor, and I had been experiencing irregular cycles (140+ days apart) severe pain and PMDD for the last 10 years. He offered me the pill and suggested I speak to someone else. This was very concerning - especially as he also did not mention the side effects of taking the pill - I wonder how many more women he has placed on the 'miracle pill' without really assessing the root cause. I have since undertaken my own research and started to take a health supplement that lowers insulin resistance - I am now ovulating and getting regular cycles for the first time in 10 years - without the pill. Avoid waisting your money with this doctor as his actions show no care for women's health issues in the slightest.

Without prejudice Very sadly this was the worst worrying experience of my life, I found Dr vanderpump quite dreadful, his money oriented behaviour was soul destroying for someone who felt as I’ll as I did.Hr was more interested in discussing my business asking probing questions about my business that discussing my heath problems,it was quite obvious that we was seriously unwell and he did the minimum. Thad to stage my own treatment as he insisted I was ok and took me off medication I had been on for years without follow yo, up. There is not one iota of human care, and my condition was so obviously an over active thyroid which was never acknowledged.do not visit if you want a caring view.He ascused me of being rude , when I was just trying to find out what was wrong with me, I am not a l
Person and at 67 years do not have a solicitor, but if I felt better and had time I would definitely take him to court,

I found the Dr manner quite creepy & almost flirtatious, he told me I looked really good in a tone that I felt had nothing to do with my health. As a female I would avoid this Dr, didn’t feel comfortable in his presence at all.
He drifted off constantly into other meaningless conversation which I also found irritating & unessarcery.

Don't make the mistake of going to see this Doctor!

Similarly to another review here, I was paying out of pocket to see an endocrinologist. I went to see him because I wasn't feeling better despite being treated by a GP and taking levythyroxine. I thought an endocrinologist might be able to offer some solutions as I have Hashimoto's and have been feeling very badly again over the past few months despite having a normal TSH level from the medication.

I paid 300 pounds in advance, and was extremely disappointed. I almost cried in the consultation because he was so condescending. He made a bunch of assumptions without asking my symptoms and offered zero solutions. He eventually said that I should get some blood work done, and if something comes up he would be in touch, otherwise to just stop stressing. I then found out that the blood work would cost an additional 400 pounds, and I decided not to do it with him! IF someone already has this attitude, then I don't trust him to look at my blood results properly. I feel very ripped off..

Dr Vanderpump is a friendly polite, easy to understand doctor. He was most informative and explained things in a way I could understand. I have seen many doctors for all different things over the last ten years and Dr Vanderpump is one of the best I have seen for explaining treatment going forward - he is calm and does not rush. Im sad with some of the reviews below but we are all entitled to our opinion.

I saw this man 10 years ago with a thyroid issue that he didn’t pick up. In fact he decided that I was a fantastist that wanted thyroid medicine for weight loss.
Actually I did have MS caused by low vitamin D which was causing thyroid issues. I was a mess. I also developed a parathyroid tumour a year ago. An endocrine disaster where you would have thought I’d be of interest!!
In defence of any endocrinologist, some things are hard to pick up. But when my husband saw him he was all over him. Me, no. Anyway Prof Jeremy Chataway (MS) and Prof Sherman Chew (Endo) are a different league.

I have been under Dr Vanderpump's care for 10 years for primary hyperparathyroidism. He's extremely knowledgeable and thorough and has monitored my case very assiduously over the years. He's very approachable and always answers queries promptly. I can highly recommend him!

A “Consultation” with Dr. M Vanderpump - A complete waste of time and Money!
Being disappointed with the treatment I was receiving from my GP, for my lazy thyroid, as I was still struggling, I decided to go privately. Dr Vanderpump’s credentials are second to none, but having furnished him with comprehensive medical details he did not give me any information or advice beyond what my GP & Gynaecologist had already told me, and that I was already considering. The issue of my Hashimoto’s was never addressed, further explorations to find my individual optimal levels of T3/T4 that I need to function well were not discussed, neither was a scan of my thyroid to ascertain its current condition. We had an hour’s chat with no action points at the end.
BEWARE. The contract you are asked to sign basically states you will pay for Dr. Vanderpump’s time. not the quality of his input, which for me was NIL, Zilch, Nada, Zero.
Oh, and if you don’t want to pay the full amount because you feel short changed, for not getting a “Proper consultation”, he does not talk to you, to try to help you, and resolve your issue, no he just instructs his debt collection agency.
I hate being ripped off!!!
