Dr. Cheng always takes the time to discuss my issues, explain any problems he notes so I can understand them, let me know what I should be doing to improve my quality of life and answer all my questions. Over the 20+ years I have been under his care I have found him a considerate and caring individual who has an excellent grasp on medical issues far beyond cardiology and is extremely quick to respond to any messages/questions I leave for him. From time to time he will call me to offer new thoughts on steps I could take. On those occasions that I have been hospitalized, e.g. knee replacements, he has come by every day to see how I am progressing. Truly a breath of fresh air in health care treatment you receive these days!

The staff used to be a problem but they are getting better. Several times he has returned calls outside of business hours in a timely manner. I've been a patient of his for close to 20 years. He will recommend additional programs/doctors if needed. Ex-weight loss, specialists. During my recent bout with cancer, I was amazed as to the concern demonstrated by him. Other doctors were handling the surgery and hospital stay but he was right there monitoring my progress. I feel that I am in good hands. He continues to recommend articles for me to read to assist in making better choices for my health. There are days were he is punctual and others when he is not. He takes a great deal of time with his patients and if there is a new patient, that slows the visits. Not to mention all the sales reps that wait to see him.

Dr. Cheng takes every issue you bring up seriously, and explains his medical opinion very carefully. Each time I left after seeing him, I felt I understood everything he said clearly, and had a good grasp on what was going on with my health. I've never had a family doctor before because I've had bad experiences and have been only going to the doctor when absolutely necessary, but Dr. Cheng has proven himself to be a worthy doctor and I plan to continue to see him.

Dr. Cheng is a "people person". He takes the time to talk with patients, get to know them, and provides treatment that fits the individual. I'm 74, and I've never before liked my doctor this much.

Dr Cheng prescribed my mother, a patient of his for several years a medication for those who have schetzophrenia or therets. My mother has dementia and this could have cost her life. Also, being a cardiologist and not a specialist in dementia, he should have referred my mom to a geriatic doctor. The side effects of this medication could have affected her heart or even been fatal according to the medications details description.
