I got a deep nasty finger cut on a construction job and Dr. Marc Shaber was kind enough to squeeze me in saving me countless hours and the typical hassles of the emergency room.

Everyone in the office was extremely professional and friendly. A very pleasant atmosphere and the office is immaculate!

I've lost count of the amount of stitches I received in construction. Respectively, I can tell a "good stitch" when I see it. I looked at my finger and said, "awesome job" - come to find out Dr. Shaber did his residency in surgery!

My whole family loves this office - highly recommended!!

Well Dr. Shaber got my cholesterol down from 350 to 199 kicking and screaming all the way because i am not an easy sell.... I have him to thank for this, in the beginning i fought the medication, he used patience and persuasion to get me on board and now I am in the normal range with no side effects........ This doctor is special so go to him talk to him trust me he listens!!!

I have been going to Dr Shaber for many years, I find him to be a true professional in every sense of the word! He listens, takes his time and discusses all options available with me. I am not an easy patient, I can be a bit opinionated and I am not a fan of going to any doctor but he makes me feel very comfortable. He is always right on the money with his diagnosis and because of that I am probably in the best shape I've been in for years! He offers a very personal touch and I feel like I'm speaking to an old friend. His staff is great, rarely wait more than a few minutes and I have never had a problem getting an appointment, I can usually get one the same day if I have a serious issue. I would highly recommend Dr Shaber and I am a tough critic!

Mediocre at best. Very easy to get appt., but it doesn’t last long. Doesn’t care about questions or concerns; what he says goes. Not thorough. I wouldn’t go to him in an emergency. Nurses are very nice. Beth, the receptionist, is the WORST. Never seen anything like it---rude, unprofessional, brainless and horrible. Bad representation of the medical field.

AWFUL. I'd have to be on fire to EVER go back to this office. It's my own fault for not leaving years ago. Numerous issues ranging from "DR." Shaber threatening to call my therapist when I didn't divulge personal info that he wanted to know, but did not affect the physical issue I was there for. Another time, I had to pick up something from the office and stopped by around 12:15 only to be told I'd have to wait b/c apparently the entire staff takes a group lunch break (which I had not been advised of prior to arriving or I would not have gone at that point). After watching them eat for 5 min and not leaving bc I was not able to come back later, "Rose" got up and came over to give me what I was there for, but not without complaining how it's her lunch break and blah, blah, blah. Today was the last straw. I made an appt. yesterday and all was fine. This am I rec'd a call 2 hrs prior to my appt. and was told I am now a new patient (I am not) and could not be seen, even though my symptoms are worrisome. I was told I could be seen in 2 days. "Ruth" was just about the most rude support staff I've ever encountered and insisted that the only reason I am still in the system is b/c I've seen a dr. within the HMC system (which I have not). She then said I had not been there in over 3 yrs. and replied "You haven't seen a dr in over 3 yrs!?" This is NONE of her business, not to mention the argument is that I have been to that practice within 3 yrs. The only positive was the PA, who was always kind and professional, which is why I stayed. I called another office and based on my symptoms, they think it's important enough for this new patient to come in asap and will make time they said. Oh, I was also told that I would be charged $1 per page for my records, which in fact, would be going to another dr. within the same healthcare system, so this practice needs to get their facts and responsibilities together before they breach NJ medical laws. Honestly, the worst practice EVER.

I have been a patient of Dr Schaber foe 13 years, I have found him to be an excellent diagnostician, knowledgeable in prescribing medicine. I have never been rushed through an appointment and was able to ask all the questions and receive answers to my needs. He cares about his patients and it shows. The office staff is great, friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Believe me if this Doctor was rude to any of his staff these sharp women would not have been there all these years! I would recommend this family practice to all my friends.

Dr. Shaber has been my primary care provider for many years and is an excellent diagnostician as well as a superb and thoughtful treatment clinician. He considers the patients individual needs, listens well and provides multiple recommendations, potential solutions. I have had a number of chronic medical issues and he engages in intelligent dialogue without dictating and is open to discussion with the patient. I highly recommend considering him for your care.
