Doctor was quick to push procedure but did not even explain the details or side effects. She seemed rushed and bedside manner was poor.

There were things I really liked about Dr. Antebi and her office but ultimately I cannot keep going to this office.

The pros:
-Her front desk staff, especially Carla, are the most helpful caring people ever. Carla goes above and beyond to help with scheduling, patient needs and reducing stress. She is a gem and the only reason I came back to this Drs office a few times.
-Really easy scheduling on zocdoc or by phone and almost no wait time
-Dr. Antebi cares about her patients, and does what she thinks is best. She remembered that I was worried about my test results and came in on her day off to talk to me in person, which I really appreciated.

The cons:
-Dr. Antebi is an alarmist and that is not a good match for me. The first time I saw her I told her about a 5 year benign stable lump that I had, and shared a recent experience with a doctor that put me through the ringer to test it and that we ultimately confirmed it was fine. Without even looking at my paperwork or examining me, Dr. Antebi started talking to me about surgery. Once she examined me she said she no longer thought that, or even a follow-up ultra sound was necessary. She also convinced me to do a bunch of genetic testing. When it came back that I was a carrier of 2 things common for Ashkenazi jews (but that ultimately don't matter unless your husband too is a carrier), she told me BEFORE MY HUSBAND EVEN GOT TESTED that I should be considered IVF and was going to refer me to a genetic counselor. Everything ended up being totally fine and I didn't appreciate the weeks of worry and stress she caused me.
-Her "nurse" that draws blood does not speak english, is terrible and dirty. When she was putting on her gloves to draw my blood they were covered in dust. Instead of getting new gloves, she smacked them against the wall a few times. She also had a difficult time finding my veins and I had bruising on both arms for days.
-The office is outdated and equipment is old. It does not feel like I am at a doctor's office that has cutting edge technology or is keeping up the times.
