I saw Dr Silverman first in 2009. This was based on recommendations from both doctors and nurses. They were spot on. I continue to see Dr Silverman; he is much more than "just" a Orthopedic Surgeon.

I was diagnosed with a tarsal coalition in my right foot by a local foot and ankle doctor and spent many years with pain in my ankle and foot when standing or walking. I had x-rays, an MRI and then was casted for an opened toed boot ( was very difficult to find a pair of shoes to fit over the boot) and eventually the pain worsened over time. The last resort was having a very painful cortisone injection which didn't change anything! I then decided it was time for a second opinion since the doctor was finally suggesting surgery and the pain was getting harder to tolerate.

After looking on-line for an ankle & foot specialist, I found Dr. Lance Silverman and was able to get in right away! In June of 2019, I met with Dr. Silverman. After x-rays, taken that day in his office, Dr. Silverman examined my foot, listened to me, answered all of my questions, showed me the x-rays, explained the problem and what needed to be done surgically. (A triple arthrodesis and a bone graft) There was no doubt in my mind after visiting with him that day that he was the Doctor I wanted to perform my surgery! I left his office so relieved and confident that he was going to help me walk again without pain!

My surgery and recovery went very well! I had absolutely no pain throughout my recovery and therapy. Dr. Silverman and I laughingly go back and forth on this (he thinks I did have some pain, but I honestly didn't have any pain). Follow ups went great and everyone in the office were always so friendly and so helpful with scheduling my Dr. appointments around my work schedule.

I am so grateful for all the good care I received from everyone at the hospital and especially from Dr. Silverman. Dr. Silverman is an outstanding ankle and foot surgeon and also has a great sense of humor (at a time you can really use some laughs) and I appreciate all he did for me.
I would highly recommend him to anyone with a foot or ankle problem and the only doctor I would trust to do this type of surgery! It has been over a year since my surgery and I am standing and walking pain free everyday!

Thank you so much for all you have done for me Dr. Silverman. I wish I had found you sooner!

Dr. Silverman is by far the best foot doctor in the twin cities. I was suffering from heel pain. Prior to seeing him I went to Twin Cities Orthopedics in Edina where I was sent from one doctor to another, as they had no idea what was going on with my heel. They finally ended up recommending exploratory surgery. That's when I looked up Dr. Silverman. Dr. Silverman was thorough and patient. He listened to what I was saying (unlike one other Dr. at Twin Cities Orthopedic). Dr. Silverman diagnosed by issue right away. I was feeling 90% better in 2 weeks of his recommended treatment. Thank you Dr. Silverman!

Currently seeing Dr. Silverman for CRPS in both of my feet and lower legs along with my pain specialist Dr, Cohn. I have had great results and he listens to what I have to say, and explains all my options available to me. He's also current with New treatments for CRPS. Have had numerous surgeries and all have been successful. My husband also sees Dr. Silverman after he had issues with numerous doctors who were treating him for the wrong prognosis. One surgery and one visit from Dr. Silverman and he was treated and has no problems. He had four unnecessary surgeries prior to seeing Dr. Silverman. Will gladly recommend him to all my friends and relatives.

I spoke with two other ankle surgeons and they both told me that they could not perform ankle replacement surgery on my ankle because it was too damaged. I then met with Dr. Silverman and he was confident that he could perform the ankle replacement surgery. It is now about four months since I had the surgery and I am walking better than I have in years. The ankle Dr. Silverman operated on is almost totally pain free. Thank you Dr. Silverman for giving me back my mobility.

Dr Silverman has been very helpful and knowledgeable about my procedure I would be having. His staff and him were on things 100% when I needed to get my knee scooter earlier. I am thankful to have found a great Dr and staff.

Simply put-Dr. Silverman gave me my life back. I had been struggling with debilitating, chronic foot pain for 8 years. Prior to seeing Dr. Silverman, I had seen to two podiatrists, a physical medicine doctor, a musculoskeletal doctor, and a neurologist. While all these doctor’s agreed that the issue with my feet was abnormal, none of them seemed to know what the condition was or how to treat it. I had all but given up. I suffered for several years before deciding to try just one more doctor. After searching high and low, I chose to see Dr. Silverman. Within only minutes of meeting and examining me he told me that he was confident that I had a rare condition called Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome in the medical compartments of my feet bilaterally. I was obviously skeptical given the fact that 5 previous providers had failed me. Dr. Silverman ordered a compartment pressure test which confirmed the diagnosis. I underwent two surgeries, one on each foot a few months apart. While correcting my compartment syndrome, Dr. Silverman also addressed my ankle instability from repeated ankle sprains I had from many years of gymnastics. I am now fully recovered and pain free. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for Dr. Silverman and his team.
