I had a been dealing with back problems for years. I had tried Prednisone, Naproxen, physical therapy, and yoga with limited results. I was feeling hopeless because it hurt to sit, stand, and walk. I didn’t think surgery was an option, but Dr. Pryor’s office worked with my insurance company to get it approved. I had a discectomy, which resolved my herniated disc and years of back pain immediately. I still have weakness, which is expected after years of accommodating for my pain but am now able to work out without pain. I am beyond thankful to Dr. Pryor and his staff! I don’t know why there are some negative reviews because I had a very positive experience.

Dr. Pryor is a caring, compassionate professional - I read these other reviews and wondered how we could have seen the same doctor. He went over my MRI findings IN DETAIL with me and my husband and addressed every concern and question we had. I had back surgery 11 weeks ago and was able to go hiking in the Grand Teton National Park last week - something I thought I would never be able to do again. Thank you, Dr. Pryor.

Dr. John Pryor is on of the most offensive human beings I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I have been diagnosed with a debilitating illness that will shorten my life. What Dr. Pryor asked me during a consultation for spinal sugery is it I thought it would be worth it ( meaning what? His time, the surgery so I can walk, what?!). I ask him what he meant by worth it. Since I am going to die earl is it worth it. In will never let him tough me! Honestly,I was in such a state of shock I could not ask him exactly what he meant beyond this horrifying statement.
I have reported him to his superiors. I have little hope they will do anything. You know Arrogant Doctor God surgeon is not uncommon. Dr. Pryor is all that stereotype with astonishing cruelty added. If I could rate zero I would

John Pryor is rude, has an unprofessional bed side manner and is condescending. He talks out of both ends, and has no interest in helping you or making you better let alone answering your questions of concern. He has no business being a surgeon and I wouldn't trust him as a veterinarian. I wouldn't let this guy touch me with a 10ft pole. You are asking for trouble if you go to someone as rude as this guy who doesn't care about you as a patient.

Dr. Pryor lacked professional bed side manner, I felt embarrassed as a patient with some of his comments and remarks and he was condescending at times. My wife and I waited for 35 minutes in the exam room, we didn't feel like our questions were ever really answered for direction and we felt rushed so he could get on to his next patient, including paging him over the intercom system, like a timed event...really! I will not be going back, let alone having this guy "cut" into me. The appointment from the very start of receiving my paperwork from my back specialists office was a very slow process as nobody called me from his office to schedule the appointment, and I finally had to call his office directly after waiting for a week of intense pain only to find out that my paperwork had never been received and they could get me in to see Dr. Pryor in about 2 weeks. Again, I do not recommend and the reason for writing this review so that you can avoid what I experienced and not have weeks of pain and frustration waiting for a doctor who really does not have a lot of time for his patients and makes his patients feel worse walking out... then when they walked in. Ditto to the comments below, do not waste your time and money with this Doctor who should pursue more education in "teaching, patient interactions and care," which is the very nature or the origin of the word itself "Doctor," or to "teach."

Staff is a joke ! Took 3 times and 3 weeks to get correct paper work for employer who was threatening corrective action, they actually had me pick up someone else's personal info by mistake the first time and when told they replied just bring it back like it happens every day ? Dr. Is not interested in what's wrong with you at all ? Fired them and went to Swedish spine institute in Seattle, much more professional ,if I can't trust you with paper work then your not working on my spine and spinal cord ! Please do not go here !

This doctor should hang up his jacket. His bedside manner is awful, don't waste your time or money to see him. He doesn't seem to care that your back, body or whatever is hurting. His recommendation for me was that I was getting old and here are some pain meds. Yeah I'm 30 and very active with 3 bulging discs in my lower back. Thanks for nothing doc

The doctor was uninterested in helping. Said nothing wrong. After proading him, he gave a little information. I wasted my money on a specialist that didn't appear to care to help a patient. I have had over 20 years of pain from being hit by a semi-truck. With past records of bulging discs. I will not see him again.
