Went to see her to get some answers about my hypothyroidism. I asked why were my symptoms worsening. She gave me a vague answer, with an attitude as if I was inconveniencing her, Lied about an alternative treatment to my face, saying it wasn't FDA approved and it doesn't work at all and that there were no clinical studies showing that it worked (Wrong, Wrong, and Wrong again.)
She barely listened to my symptoms and my medical history, which she really should have looked into because I have a large family history of MANY autoimmune diseases including Lupus. She rushed me through telling her about my symptoms, and literally said I must be lying about my food diary and exercise log (I even wore and tried to show her my Garmin Vivofit which records my exercise and calorie consumption).
She ordered some tests, proceeded to tell me that my blood work came back normal and my symptoms (Swelling, Hair falling out in large chunks, Brain fog, Cold temperature, etc) were all in my head and I was faking it. She said if I have PCOS it is managed by my birth control whioch makes literally no sense because if it's managed why would I be having symptoms. She then put me on Metformin without discussing side effects, And literally said "It might help, or it might not" while shrugging and said good luck.
This literally was the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had, I cried the whole way home. If you are hypothyroid like me, see someone else, especially if you are in "Normal range" for TSH, because she will just tell you that you're faking it. Find a doctor who will listen to you and treat you based on your symptoms, Instead of relying on the inaccuracies of TSH.
