I have been seeing her since 2014 and 22. I had a TBI when I was 14 from a car accident and had bad headaches and visual disturbance ever since and just got used to taking ibuprofen. The reason I got her was out of desperation, as the headaches changed and got worse. CT scan was done and she called it normal, even though I have fragments of my skull missing from the accident, didn't think it was as related, and wrote a script. She also will tell you your weight is the reason, even when you're losing some. For someone who claims she's against meds she writes a lot of them. She is very book smart but sucks at bedside manner. Recently, I've began getting tremors and she tried to say it was from other medicine I've had. Thing is, I rarely take those meds and hadn't for a while. She then prescribed another medicine, which would have VERY poorly mixed with a different current one I was taking every day. My NP caught it and is not pleased a neurologist would make such a change. I also tried to explain to her early on that sumatriptan and rizatriptain make my chest hurt and neck ache extremely bad. She brushed off these concerns, even when telling her my mom and sister have similar reactions. During any bad migraine attack, be prepared to play phone tag and to be told to take a steroid pulse. Not happy and should have gotten a new neurologist sooner. Worsening symptoms are to a point I can't work. Beginning to wonder misdiagnosis as the meds have not helped at all lately and I'm progressively getting worse. Looking for new neurologist.
