I cannot comment on her competence but when I had an appointment for a routine Pap smear she also included an STD test which was not approved by my insurance company, not medically needed, and I did not ask for it nor give consent. She also didn't inform me she was going to submit this test, and may even have intentionally deceived me about taking the sample. The test she chose to submit without my consent is also one of the most expensive lab tests available, and it was sent to a particularly expensive laboratory.
