There may be perfectly good doctors, but there are major problems with the set up and with the Florence staff. All calls go via Springfield office, filter #1, then reception in Florence, then maybe the triage nurse, then maybe a PA, and then maybe physician. physicians/surgeons may be very knowledgeable but chances of a prompt and expert response diminish. My surgery (TURP) went well, but post-op was badly handled. The catheter was removed (by a PA) when there was obviously still much bleeding and then had to be reinserted. After removing it too early, it was kept in for 10 days basically to fit the office or Dr's schedule (another associate was never to be seen). Common knowledge is that such a lengthy catheterization is likely to produce a urinary infection, exactly what happened. The very same PA failed to detect a 3-day old infection in the urine sample.
