Dr.Bare is a very good doctor took very good care of me I respect this man. He knew I was a high risk and he was to the point about everything. When laying on the table after my daughter he made it clear not to have anymore I respected his concerns but of course I got pregnant now he watches me more he has his worries and I understand that he jokes with me and my husband. I put my life in this mans hands I fully trust him with everything. Dr. Bare has never done me or my husband wrong in anyway. When I lost alot of blood after my daughter he dropped everything he was doing and came to myside to help me I never had a doctor that was so concerned about someone. Dr. Bare you are the coolest doctor out there and I could not ask for anything else. Hough Family :)

Dr. Bare has caused me much pain and sorry through two birth experiences and has also done so to other mothers I know. During my office visit he laughed at me when I said I would like to try a natural birth. During two of my labors he gave me pitocin without my knowledge and against my wishes that were written in my birth plan. I did not discover this until several years later when reading my medical records. This basically amounts to "assault" according to another provider I spoke with. He was unsupportive and became rude when my choices and opinions did not perfectly align with his own. He has no desire to support mothers who desire a safer, natural approach to birth with fewer interventions. It's hard to imagine the harm he has likely caused to countless mothers and babies over the many years he has been in practice. If you are looking for a natural, safe, supportive, positive, gentle birth experience...try a midwife. Avoid Dr. Bare at the very least.

Dr bare is the most kind, thorough, compassionate Dr I have ever had. I recommend him highly!!! He has been my Dr for 12 years and has always given me the best care.

My ins. is Med Mutual and my annual exam has no copay. That said, I have been a patient of Dr Bare since he was new to the community and I was about 38. My mother, aunt & sister have also been his patients & have the same opinions as I. Dr Bare is very caring, thorough, & apologetic if an emergency delays your appointment. He takes no chances. If there is something not right or he suspects additional problems he follows up with you. Even though she was disappointed, Dr. Bare referred my aunt to a specialist rather than do a surgery himself, explaining he is not specialized in her needed surgery. He even called me at home to check on me after a simple procedure & again with test results he knew I was concerned about. He always makes me feel very comfortable during those personal examinations & doesn't rush my appointments. He is wonderful & I hope he doesn't retire until I don't need him anymore. He's in great demand but well worth the wait & I would recommend him to my best friends!

I also had a bad experience when seeing Dr. Bare. After trying for quite some time to get pregnant was finally successful and of course very excited. I had to wait weeks to get in to see him. When he examined me he said he did not hear the heartbeat, bt wld listen again in a month and see what happnens. It was less than month & I started to bleed. When called, he seemed very unconcerned, saying go to bed, if supposed to be will stop bleeding. I nearly hemorraged before he said I should go ahead and come in & then had the nerve to ask it I wanted to go back home & wait for rest to pass, suffering in extreme pain. After I had recovered, he ordered many tests, coming up with no reason. I now know that he could have sewed my uterus shut to keep me frm wanting to go into labor. Could have also used special suppository daily 1st trimester to stregthen uterus. He seemed so uncaring after the loss, no compassion.

In 1998, women had to see Wooster Clinic's OBs in a rotation. I was unlucky to see Dr Bare when it was decided that my toxima (a condition that was NEVER brought to my attention!) was serious enough to deliver my child 3 weeks early. I suffered post-partum seizures. I was Lifeflighted to Cleveland Clinic where they save my life. Dr Bare had the audacity to tell the Wooster nurses that *if* I lived, I would be a vegetable! This man's only concern for me was that a lawsuit might be in his future. Luckily for him, I did not sue him but his name is MUDD! "Unprofessional" is too nice a word for him.

The person who commented on 1-16-07 does not know this fool. He is rude at best and could care lees about you or your child! He jokes with your husband because he knows you better than your husband does. He always does a rectal exam when your husband is not there and I'll bet you don't let your Husband go there right? He stays in Wooster Ohio because he can't go anywhere else. Thats my opinion and I'm entitled to it. You have yours but for me he's a looser and I will not go ther again.
