Sad to say I would not reccomend anyone to become a patient of Dr. Erwin's. I have been a patient of hers for 10+ years and have recently had more serious issues than the basic cold/sore throat/anxiety/etc. I have visited for this issue 4-5 separate times in the past 5 months and each time have been given the runaround/ have been rushed out of the office without having been given a proper diagnoses nor do I feel like she has truly tried to Learn anything else about my issue. I went in for a final appointment with her recently after my insurance had denied a request for a CT scan, frustrated, sad but hopeful that maybe this time we could come to a better solution. I felt that she brought me in out of frustration, almost to "stick it to me". She was incredibly rude, the appointment lasted no longer than 10 minutes and she told me my issue was not worrysome. I then asked her if it was not worrysome, why she sent in a request for a ct scan. She then very rudely replied "basically because you were pressing the issue." I was in complete shock and as she sat writing for anther moment realized that what she said was not appropriate and said "now im sorry if that came out rudely I didn't mean it to be criticizing." I then replied well it was indeed very criticizing. Our conversation went back and forth for another 10+ minutes with me in tears over what was happening to me and my concerns with not being properly and fairly treated. She then seemed more concerned after having been proved wrong and told me that I was right and that what I was experiencing was not normal. She then expressed more concern than ever before, doing what she should have done since the beginning. She took her time, asked me more intensive questions about what I was feeling and retraced our steps back to the first visit with her about this issue. Although she had expressed that she was sorry for how I had been treated, what happened was highly inappropriate and unforgivable. I would not reccomend this office to anyone as they seem too busy to take the time to genuinely help anyone.

Dr. Erwin has been great for the over decade I have seen her. Many mild to moderate issues over the years (thankfully nothing major), and she has worked to help me with all of them. Sent me to a specialist after we unsuccessfully tired a couple solutions for a problem. Admitted that someone with the right tools would be best after we reached a point. She has been very helpful overall and recognizes her limits. Not all doctors do that. I would much rather have someone who knows less and works with their knowledge than someone who thinks they have it all figured out. She took the time to call me at home after one appointment noticing that she missed something during the visit. It was after hours and she was obviously reviewing notes for the day. Caring, considerate, nice, and helpful. I have no problem sending those I care about most to Dr. Erwin.

I have had Ann for a number of years because she is close to my work and I have found she is good at the easy stuff such as Paps, Physicals, colds. She does not try to diagnose the harder issues such as my heart Palps and skin issues. She does not suggest specialists to see or things to try when all tests come back negative. She will not do hormone testing on women. This is because she will not prescribe HRT due to Cancer risks which is commendable but if you want to know your numbers and where you levels are, go to an OBGYN as your unlikly to get them with Dr. Erwin. She is nice but rushed and if you want quality time, go elsewhere. If you want immunizations, paps or something easy, see her as it is pretty fast getting in and out. The Physical appts are usually 3 weeks to a month out so prepare!

I have seen Ann for years and she has always done right by me. I feel rushed at times but that is what goes for practice these days.

Dr. Erwin may be very good at diagnosing issues such as a "sore" throat, sinus infection, and seeing the healthy yearly check ups. I think she is trying to see too many patients a day, so much so, that she has to limit her office visit time to minutes per patient. She is a great doctor if your a very healthy person. Unfortunitly, I had an undiagnosed(misdiagnosed)health problem. She did run tests, etc., But after awhile it seemed there was not an answer to my health questions. I did some research and was sure I had found out what I had, I didn't get anywhere with Dr. Erwin about my suspitions, so I followed up on my hunches, scheduled my own appointments with specialists. I now have a doctor that listens to me rather than taking credit for their patients hard work.

I would greatly recommend sending your entire family to this physician. I rank her highly not only in knowledge and expertise, but also in her ability to establish a strong doctor-patient relationship based on active listening, trust, and mutual respect. I especially appreciate how she is up front on issues of informed consent, (as opposed to giving just a biased account based on what she wants for a patient). And ultimately, she respects whatever decisions I end up making for myself or my child.
