Sad to say I would not reccomend anyone to become a patient of Dr. Erwin's. I have been a patient of hers for 10+ years and have recently had more serious issues than the basic cold/sore throat/anxiety/etc. I have visited for this issue 4-5 separate times in the past 5 months and each time have been given the runaround/ have been rushed out of the office without having been given a proper diagnoses nor do I feel like she has truly tried to Learn anything else about my issue. I went in for a final appointment with her recently after my insurance had denied a request for a CT scan, frustrated, sad but hopeful that maybe this time we could come to a better solution. I felt that she brought me in out of frustration, almost to "stick it to me". She was incredibly rude, the appointment lasted no longer than 10 minutes and she told me my issue was not worrysome. I then asked her if it was not worrysome, why she sent in a request for a ct scan. She then very rudely replied "basically because you were pressing the issue." I was in complete shock and as she sat writing for anther moment realized that what she said was not appropriate and said "now im sorry if that came out rudely I didn't mean it to be criticizing." I then replied well it was indeed very criticizing. Our conversation went back and forth for another 10+ minutes with me in tears over what was happening to me and my concerns with not being properly and fairly treated. She then seemed more concerned after having been proved wrong and told me that I was right and that what I was experiencing was not normal. She then expressed more concern than ever before, doing what she should have done since the beginning. She took her time, asked me more intensive questions about what I was feeling and retraced our steps back to the first visit with her about this issue. Although she had expressed that she was sorry for how I had been treated, what happened was highly inappropriate and unforgivable. I would not reccomend this office to anyone as they seem too busy to take the time to genuinely help anyone.
