When he was a fellow at the University of Washington, he was a part of the surgical team that put in a port that would later be used for my chemotherapy. This surgery was done in the radiology dept of UWMC and not where he currently works. I spoke to him before the surgery and he introduced himself to me as the "attending". He was rude and curt with me when I was very polite to him. When I woke up from the anesthesia my whole body began to shake uncontrollably. The nurses on the surgical team just told me to "stop shaking." As it turns out, I was having a bad reaction to the anesthesia and the surgical team was simply not competent enough to realize it. I thought that I was dying, and when I asked him what was happening, he just shrugged and said "I don't know" in a very non-interested way. He did finally figure out what was going on, and gave me something that stopped the shaking. He conveniently avoided mentioning this negative reaction in my medical file. Avoid at all costs.
