While Dr. DeSandies himself was very nice and I enjoyed my visit with him, I feel compelled to describe my experience with him at Nova Patient Care in Alexandria: was offered unnecessary medical tests as part of the office's routine service (wanted STD screening and they included hepatitis A in their panel - it isn't even sexually transmitted!), inappropriately reassured that all would be covered, and then found the office completely unresponsive to the subsequent billing issues that it/Dr. DeSandies alone could resolve with absolutely no sympathy or accountability or concern for my time (I called repeatedly over 6 weeks only to be told that all was done correctly). $1000 bill for STD screening! Not sure if it's Dr. DeSandies or Nova Patient Care, but regardless I won't return to either.

A professional with compassion. Had a procedure performed on 30 April 2013 at INOVA which was a new experience, for me, which requires a follow-up. We've remained in contact and his manners are rare today. Today, most doctors, seem to be concerned about $ with healthcare as a by-product. This doctor exhibits care as the primary area-of-concern. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Dr. Desandies is a really knowledgeable and takes the time to explain test results. I have had the occassion to have a question and concern and he told me to come over to his office at a certain time. He took the time to answer and explain my questions/concerns. I have been able to call his office and speak directly to him on a few issues. He has also called me back in a reasonable amount of time when I have left a message. The staff is friendly and competent and the office wait is decent at about no more than 30 min. from checkin to seeing the Dr.

I can't say enough about this man. As I read some of theother reviews i was shaking my head and smiling about all that was said. Dr. Desandies has been my Dr since 1984. He delivered my first born son in 1985, and my surprise baby boy 19 years later in 2004. He also delivered my neice and several of my friends babies. He always makes me feel as if I am his only patient. There was never a time that I called him and he was not there for me. He is a very professional person, who also is personable also. I can not imagine him not being a vital part of both my son's and my life. He is truly a blessing and we love him dearly!! If you are looking for a Dr. to give you total care and concern Dr. Kenneth Desandies is the man for you.

Dr. Desandies is a very down to earth doctor and very knowledgeable. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease. I have been going to him for around 7 years now and is always greeted by his welcoming smile. I have referred family members and friends as well who are also very pleased with choosen him as their ob/gyn!!!

Dr. DeSandies the best gynecologist that I have had. Everything that he has ever treated me for or has given me his honest opinion about has be right on the money. I respect him as a person and as my doctor. My entire family has selected him to be there gyn, and has nothing but positive things to say about his character. I would recommend all women to be in the presence of such a wonderful man and doctor.

I like Dr. DeSandies. He was quiet at first but then loosed up. He has been very helpful to me throughout my pregnancy. I am at the end now and he told me that if I was having any problems to feel free to contact him. He's not a doctor that that will get upset if you call and ask him a question and I like that. KUDOS
