My visit with Dr. Chiang was regrettable, to say the least. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chiang because I had concerns about bumps that I was developing. Long story short, he misdiagnosed what I had with something a lot more serious than what it actually was. After his assessment, I had doubts about his diagnosis, so I actually went to go see TWO other opinions, wherein both doctors diagnosed my bumps with something a lot less severe. Note that they both provided me with the SAME diagnosis. Although I spent more time and money, I’m glad I decided to see two other opinions which definitely provided much relief, as Dr. Chiang’s diagnosis led to unnecessary emotional trauma. To add, he even prescribed me to take 600 mg of zinc daily to improve the condition of the bumps. Mind you, the recommended daily intake for zinc is FAR below 600 mg. There is a slight chance that he miswrote the prescription dosage, but for a doctor to commit this kind of error is utterly unacceptable. To further add salt to the wound, I ended up having to fork out a lot more money than I expected for an appointment of this nature. The condition that Dr. Chiang diagnosed me with typically takes many months to multiple years to heal, but it took less than a month for my bumps to virtually disappear even when I didn’t follow his treatment plan. I rarely write reviews at all, but I just really want potential patients to read about my subpar experience with Dr. Chiang, so no one ever has to go through what I did with him. That being said, please DO NOT make the same mistake as I did. Save your time AND money and go see another dermatologist.
