I had a baby over 2 years ago via cesarean. I was too upset to write a review about my experience . Now that I’m getting over it, I feel that it is the right time to post my review. Hopefully they learn from their mistake and vow to do better by their patients moving forward.
Doctor Warren delivered my first one 6 years ago via c- section. Then, the office personnel was great. It only felt right to go back for the second time. They changed staff more than any doctor’s office I know. My appointments throughout the 2nd pregnancy was ok. Six years ago, the practice was fairly new, I felt like staff and doctors were more considerate. After I had the baby, I went back for my first visit. I was seen by a girl who might be a medical assistant. Mind you, it was a c section, my blood pressure was high 150/ 90. The medical assistant girl checked my incision and said: “you can’t have sex for the next few days, ok”. I was like “ what! What are you saying ? I can’t have sex for the next six to eight weeks period”. She was so nervous because she did not know what she was doing or saying. I asked if I was going to see the doctor, she said no, I then asked to see the nurse, I had pain in the right side of my abdomen, I’m concerned about the blood pressure, and since I went home from the hospital, I was having severe headache. She went to the back, spoke to someone, came back, and told me the nurse was busy, she said the symptoms were normal. I left the office so upset and there was no recovery from that point. What I did not understand and still don’t today, is how could you treat a patient in such manner. I don’t care if I have 1 or 6 kids, every pregnancy is different. I don’t get a discount for each pregnancy therefore I expect the same treatment whether it is the first , the second , or the seventh. My blood pressure kept rising. I need to say 6 years ago when I had my first baby, I saw the doctor herself, she was so eager to show her staff how good of a job she did on my incision as a “rookie”, if I must say. I felt disrespected and told my husband I will never go back to that office. I’m a non- confrontational type of person, I should have attempted to get the behavior corrected right then in there, but I did not. Few days later, I scheduled an appointment with my primary doctor. Once they found out that I just had a baby, they insisted that I go back to my OBGYN. Before I went there, I called and asked to speak to the office manager. I explained to her what happened on my postpartum checkup a week after my c section, she said come back and the doctor will see you. She did not have the decency to apologize for the behavior of his employees. I went back to my OBGYN since my primary doctor advised that I go back and they would not see me for postpartum high blood pressure. My blood pressure was 186/90 at that point. Doctor Warren claimed that on the last visit, the blood pressure was not a concern. People, I am a healthy female! My blood pressure never went over 120/80. I sat in front of her and said really. At that point, I was exhausted, my head was exploding, I had no energy to argue with her. She sent me directly to the hospital where I had to stay for 24 hours. She said if you don’t go you can have a seizure any minute. I developed postpartum preeclampsia. All that could have been avoided if they were more considerate the first time around. The sad part about that is, I liked the doctors. I wanted to support an office ran by women for women. I was so disappointed and ashamed that when my baby pediatrician asked me what my ObGyn said about my blood pressure, I lied, I did not see the doctor, I simply said she said we ll keep an eye on it, I have a second appointment scheduled . I did not want to paint the office in a bad light.
Doctors are supposed to guide. I did not get that in 2018., I try to be on top of my health and educate myself by any means necessary. I kept checking my pressure, did not like what I was seeing. If they were doing their jobs, a real health care professional could have told me that 149/90 is not a concern, however we need to keep an eye on it and will do x, y, and z .. By the grace of God my pressure is back to normal. Experience like that makes me lose faith in doctors, I wonder if they take the Hippocratic oath seriously. They are getting paid to help and to have patients’ best interest at heart, is that too much to ask?

Dr. Warren was wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. It is wonderful having a physician that is "cool" and fun to be around and knows what she is doing. Love her!
