Probably one of the worst doctors i ever met. He prescribed me a medication after 2 days. He cares more about making money off the sick and prescribing high dosages then actually listening and caring for his patients.

I've met this psychiatrist once, I would NOT recommend him to anyone. He cut me off nonstop, and undermined every diagnoses I have. Telling me, "You're not agoraphobic because you left the house today", yes I left the house today because I'm required to, to get my medications. On top of that, he told me I wasn't OCD despite that fact that I told him I wash my hands 30-40 times a day, and they are raw, and bleed from this, which the medication my previous psychiatrist had me on helped this issue. He claimed my bipolar disorder was mild, and lower my dose on Latuda to 20mg (I was 100mg, and working my way up to 160mg), as well as telling me my anxiety medication is was too high, my anxiety medication is 2mg a day of Klonopin. He refused to give me my medication for my mood stablizer because "I don't need it", and told me the voices I hear aren't important. My voices tell me to kill myself, and the pills my past doctor had me on helped me deal with this. I'm now on 1/6 of my pills, with him giving me some new pill I'm not supposed to take for 2 weeks, which is supposed to cause weight gain (I have PCOS and struggle with losing weight as it is), so he told me just eat healthy and exercise. I responded with, "I do yoga everyday", because I could finish telling him why I choose yoga, he raises his voice saying it's more realy exercise, and I need to be running everyday. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which I'm struggling to deal with the pain, as well as a VP Shunt which I'm trying to find a neurosurgeon to help with the negative effects of that. Yoga is the best I can do at this time, but of course this person would not hear any of it, only to once again shake his head, and cut me off. I've called this place, as it's the only place with pyschiatrist for me, asking for a new doctor. Save your time, and do not see this psychiatrist, he is dangerous and is messing with mentally unstable people.

Needed a new psychiatrist after moving from Chicago. I could not agree more with the other review here. Did a terrible history, often cutting me off. Did not want my previous records or the contact information for my previous psychiatrist who I see in a monthly basis.
Scolded and chastised me for the medications I am on and the dosages. He just kept shaking his head and yelling "this is too much, I'm not prescribing all of this"
Accused me of abusing ambien and proceeded to go thru all of my medication bottles and counting my ambien. I was "short" because I had filled up my medication organizer the previous night so there were 7 pills not in that bottle.
He refused to prescribe my neurotin and propranolol which is unsafe based on my dosages. What he did send to the pharmacy were 1/4 of my meds with different dosages (all lower). He did not give a rip about what I was saying. Or that I have medication resistant depression/anxiety and that my medication regimen is over 3 years in the making.
I will not be returning the this provider. He is unsafe, rude, and condescending.

I have seen him two times as my previous doctor moved out of state. The first time was okay. However, today I had a terrible appointment. He was rude and disrespectful. The staff looked at me like I said something either totally inappropriate or suspicious when I asked to switch doctors. I have been on the same medications for several years, have great insurance and have never had any previous problems with any doctor. When I asked to clarify some information I was ignored. When I asked a second time a bit more aggressively I was told the information I needed then instructed to go home and get some sleep. He would not provide any refills for two of my prescriptions without making me go home to see how many I had left. I never encountered this type of treatment before at any other doctor's office. I would never recommend his opinion to anyone.

One might assume that all that training would make you a good doctor. Alas, this is not the case. After a long discussion about getting back on my old medication, Lexapro (Escitalopram), I get to my pharmacy to realize that I had been prescribed CITalopram, an entirely different drug. Apparently 12+ years of schooling doesn't save you from such sophomoric mistakes as this. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Hussain to anyone.
