Dr Nelson has been my Dr for 10 years and is AWESOME!! HE IS VERY FLEXIBLE also, I would recommend him to anyone and have!!

This is the most caring and compassionate Psychiatrist I have ever seen. I almost lost my faith in mental Health in this country for a while. He has saved me and helped me through very difficult times. I had a bad experience with a previous therapist and file a complaint to the state. That doctor got into trouble BUT Dr. Nelson took over and it was the first therapist that really listened and helped me find solutions. He combined CBT and Coping techniques. Also found the right medication that worked for me. I would never want him to retire! I was abused and ended up with PTSD. He never jumped to conclusions or went too fast. He is well respected and an asset to our country’s mental health. He is very busy but if you can get in as a patient do so, you will not regret his listening techniques and skills to help smooth over the tough times in life!

Dr Ken Nelson is the finest doctor I have ever seen and I have seen a lot. He is an even better human being. He saved me. He treated my OCD and cured it. He never once denied me an appointment. If I needed him he was there He doesn't have to work but he cares so much for his patients that he works long hours. G-d blesss you Dr Nelson.

I've been on medication and under the care of a psychiatrist (medical doctor) for 36 years. Dr. Nelson is the best. He is very knowledgeable, dedicated, and conscientious. He will tell you he does not take any insurance. He will give you a receipt (which you could try submitting to your insu|ance). Using a medical doctor for therapy. This is why I see an LCSW for therapy and Dr. Nelson for medications and monitoring. I have recommended Dr. Nelson to several friends, three of whom have been seeing him for ~10 years. Everybody I know loves him. Nobody I know has anything bad to say about him - except that he can be difficult to get a hold of. You need to be persistent or just show up in his waiting room. I am shocked at the poor reviews on this site. I did check the facts for the case where a reviewer on this site blames the doctor for the death of her husband. She did file and HE WAS COMPLETELY EXONERATED.

Myself and many others I've referred to Dr Nelson have benefited from his experience, wisdom, accurate dx, thorough follow-through and kind, gentle nature. He saved my life at 13 and has continued to help me as needed for 25+ years. Absolutely the best!

Extremely insightful. Spends quality time with you and is thorough in his diagnosis. Does not overprescribe like many physicians. I would recommend him to family and friends

Was told to follow up with Dr. Nelson after changing medications and he never returned my calls

Nelson talked us into ECT treatments and the treatments fried my husband's brain. I had asked about a different treatment but he said it didn't work and the only thing that would was ECT.
He assured me my husband was not suicidal the last two times I spoke with him and I told him he was. He held a huge part of my husband being on over 50 medications in less than 2 years. Nelson put the nail in my husband's coffin and he never once called to check on my son our myself. We were self pay and spent thousands and thousands of dollars for his treatment with Nelson. We trusted him and he failed us. To not call us to me is an admission of guilt. I asked him to please refund our payments and he has never once responded. Shame on you Nelson.
