I took my mom for her appointments. She had severe tremors in her hands. Dr. did the surgery and mom had excellent results. Every time we were there he treated my mom like he would treat his own mother. Very caring young man.

Dr. Carlson removed my L4/L5 Disc (it was huge) in March and it was an in/out surgery. I was home in the early afternoon and was back to work within two weeks! Before we decided to do surgery, he made sure I considered and exhausted all my options so it was my last resort. The day we decided to do the surgery he was ready for the following week but I had trips coming up and had to put it off for a little. Today I went into my 4ish month checkup and everything was great. I had gone in a few times post op and met with Pam who is also amazing (so are Beth, Trudy, Elizabeth and really the entire staff) and each time I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Dr. Carlson is very good at what he does. I have a small scar and feel 100% better. I am very thankful for his care and attention to detail.

Dr Carlson did stage 4 brain cancer surgery on my best friend, prayed in advance of surgery for the dr and staff. After surgery was over 6 hours, I was sent pictures of the work he had done. Today my friend is alive because Dr Carlsons has the ability to answer detailed responses to multiple questions. His attention to detail while working and extracting non fibrous brain tumors. I for one will always hold a special place for Dr Carlson.

If your not interacting with the medical provider then your not going to get the help you need.

I had two surgeries. Thank God I went to him, because two other surgeons ONLY offered fusion. Dr. Carlson did a neck implant that allowed me to avoid a fusion plus bone filler/grafts. My only regret is that I waited so long. Interestingly, I had surgery about 4 months later on my lower back and he was very good.

Visited Jonathan Carlson on September 4th 2013. Dr. Carlson was rushed an showed no consideration. I have a herniated disc and severe pain in my lower back and my legs, both when I stand and when I lie down. He checked my feet and asked me if I had diabetes. I assured him I don't have diabetes. We have been in his office 3-5 minutes and he said there is nothing I can do for you. I don't want him to cut just to cut, but this guy had no time or sympathy nor any suggestions for help, remedies or solutions. I felt like he had better things to do and I was just in the way. I would not recommend Jonathan D. Carlson as he has no time to care for his patients and is arrogant and interested in himself and his schedule more than those he is sworn to care for. I am worse off now than i was when i first came to Jonathan Carlson several months back...I still have the pain radiating from my spine and down my legs and pain in my spine that seems to be of zero interest to Dr. Carlson.

Dr. Carlson is the most unsympathetic doctor I've ever been to. When I went to my visit, I was in horrible pain due to 2 herniated discs and sciatica. I had nerve pain as well as excruciating pain at the disc site. He told me there was nothing he could do. He then prescribed a weak pain medication. When I went to the pharmacy I was told that I couldn't take it due to a drug interaction with my other medications. I called his office and his nurse called me back. He had told her that there was nothing he could do and there was nothing else he would prescribe for my pain. As it was totally unbearable I went to my family physician and he prescribed a medication that had no interactions and ended up working very well. I was disgusted that a general practitioner had more knowledge of these types of pain medications than a neurologist who supposedly specializes in spinal and nerve conditions. I will never go to see him again and don't think he is fit to practice medicine.
