Absolutely the best doctor I have ever had (Dr. Cuttica) but the absolute worst office staff I have ever dealt with. Dr. Cuttica operated on me and was my primary doctor for a serious injury I had a couple years ago. He is honest, smart, and thinks outside the box. When he wasn't sure of something he was honest about it. It was because of him my situation vastly improved by him referring me to a nerve specialist. All through this I saw him (about 3 years now) and I can honestly say he is patient, caring, listens, and generally cares about his patients. He not only went out of his way to help he did it in a very short amount of time.
The worst thing about this practice is the front office. They lose things, they say they will do something and then claim weeks later they need money to do it without even letting you know. Even when something is fully covered by insurance they have asked me for over $1000 to do it even though I said all you have to do is call the insurance company they will give you a preauthorization. In the past my surgeries have all been approved quickly I'm not sure if people left for other opportunities but it is an absolute nightmare dealing with the office staff. They literally say one thing and do the other. It is like they don't care at all and the patients are a burden to them. I couldn't get a simple thing approved in a month when all that was needed was a phone call.
It was a hard decision to give up a great doctor but the incompetence of the front office and them trying to take money from me thus being paid twice for the same thing (by me and then by the insurance company) just made the hassle too much. If they had a competent staff this would be a 5 star office, as is the 3 stars I gave them was only because Dr. Cuttica is a 5 star doctor. If you have tons of time to waste and can wait for what you need for weeks at a time then this would be the place to go but if you need something in a reasonable amount of time there are a lot of better options.
