Dr. Castelli, Dr. Hirshman, and their staff are incredible! Throughout both of my pregnancies with this office I have felt supported, cared for, and guided every step of the way through my pregnancies and births. My pregnancies were considered somewhat high risk, and being with this team always made me feel comfortable and at ease. Any time I was concerned or needed a question answered the staff was available and ready to help.

With my son, Dr. Hirshman helped me throughout the entire process during my extensive labor and into a c-section. I knew I could trust him to care for me and make sure my son was safe! He was always calm and patient and ready to explain everything throughly.

With my daughter, I had complications with preeclampsia and cholestasis of pregnancy and had to deliver at 30 weeks. Dr. Castelli calmly and patiently talked through every detail with me before performing my c-section and bringing my beautiful little girl safely into the world! I was grateful for his professionalism and kindness at this very scary time.

Having experienced a late term loss with my first pregnancy (prior to my son and daughter) before meeting this team of dedicated healthcare workers, was one of the hardest things I ever experienced. Going forward to deliver my two greatest gifts with this team was no doubt one of the best decisions me and my husband ever made. Thank you for caring for my family!

I've bene a patient of Dr. Castelli for years. He not only is very knowledgeable medically, but truly cares about his patients. One thing I love about him is he tells you the honest truth, no sugar coating, personally I appreciate that. Most recently, he delivered our daughter at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Him and his team were excellent and top notch. I'd suggest Dr. Castelli and his team for any women wanting a great OBGYN experience.

Best doctor out there. He did an amazing job on my C section. He was super friendly to me and my husband and answered all our questions we had. I felt comfortable with him and recovered quickly with him too.

Dr. Castelli is the best of the best. I was pretty anxious throughout my pregnancy and he was always patient with my many and often repetitive questions. No matter how busy he was he always took the time to make sure I understood everything and felt comfortable. I always appreciated the thought he put into our conversations; he would teach me the medical terms and then explain them using a metaphor that I could relate to and easily understand. He is also great about calling you back himself to check on you if you call the office with a question/concern. His wife and nurse Tracy is phenomenal, she is very warm and always happy to see you. She put me at ease every time I saw her and always had words of advice and encouragement. I always looked forward to my appointments and have missed going into the office to see them! I was so relieved to have Dr. Castelli deliver my baby, he was incredibly calm, which I really needed. I was amazed at his ability to coach me, deliver my baby, and train his resident at the same time all while remaining very present. Bryn Mawr hospital was a wonderful place to deliver, the facility is very nice and the staff are great. Almost every nurse I had during labor and delivery came back to congratulate me and check on me after my daughter was born. I was impressed with how personal the entire experience was, from my very first appointment to leaving the hospital with my new baby, especially with it being in the middle of COVID-19. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Castelli!

When I moved to Havertown in 2019 I was in need of a new OBGYN. I searched "Best of the Main Line" and came across Dr. Castelli. He and his staff proved to be nothing short of that. A year from my first initial check up visit, Dr. Castelli delivered my first child. Dr. Castelli, his wife and nurse Tracy, and staff made every visit comfortable. Dr. Castelli's laid back approach and calm demeanor put me at ease at I was experiencing many firsts during pregnancy, and dealing with a pandemic on top of everything. I was never afraid to go to the doctor and quickly established trust with Dr. Castelli. My delivery experience was better than I could have ever expected, again because Dr. Castelli made me feel comfortable and made everything simple. I highly recommend Dr. Castelli and his staff in addition to the L&D and postpartum nursing team at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Dr. Castelli delivered our baby girl last week, providing reassurance and support throughout the entire labor and delivery process. From the beginning, he and his staff answered any and all questions particularly scary for first time parents and guided us through each step of our pregnancy journey. His nurse Tracy is so sweet and personable and made sure each appointment went smoothly, leaving no question unanswered. 10/10 would recommend, thank you Dr. Castelli from the entire Pondok family

Dr. Castelli and Dr. Hirshman are experienced, wonderful, and caring doctors! I have 4 children and they delivered them all via csection. They are a smaller practice which I love because you get to know your physician and the nurses they work with. My first pregnancy ended in csection since he was just stuck and facing the wrong way to deliver! He did well Thank God! My second pregnancy I delivered twins at 30 weeks and thanks to the quick actions of my doctor and a great NICU team at Bryn mawr hospital they are healthy and doing so well! My last Csection which was 2 weeks ago was as smooth as it could be! I had the pleasure of having both docs in my delivery and it was just a great experience! I’m forever grateful to them and their staff!

I had preeclampsia during my first pregnancy. I was so scared when I was sent to Bryn Mawr Hospital by ambulance. At that time, preeclampsia developed very high blood pressure very fast. During that super dangerous situation, I met Dr. Castelli and he had the accurate diagnostic quickly and treated it very well. I was so impressed by his professionalism, kind and excellent care. Dr. Castelli save my life. He is absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend!

I have gone to this practice for over 2 years and seen Dr. Hirshman and Dr. Castelli. Both are great, but Dr. Castelli saw me through most of my pregnancy this past year and I was very happy with my care. Nothing was over dramatized, I felt I could make my own decisions without being pressured into things I did not want. I have heard horror stories from friends who had perfectly normal pregnancies and deliveries whose doctors caused so much unnecessary stress with possibilities that never came to pass. You could mistake the laid back approach here as being overlooked but I personally appreciated knowing if something was serious I would know and if it wasn't than I did not have to think about it being a possibility. I wound up being delivered by the doctor on call at Bryn Mawr but was even happy with my experience there as well. I will continue to go to this practice because it is refreshing to go somewhere that I am respected and also well taken care of.

I have been going to Dr. Castelli ever since I got pregnant with my first child. I felt relaxed during my pregnancies, mainly because of how Dr. Castelli responded to questions and concerns in a calm and confident manner. I have now had my second son and once again no complaints. My actual labor took forever with my first son, but delivering him felt fairly easy with Dr. Castelli’s direction and calmness. And I would have to say the same with my second. My mom watched me deliver both babies and she even said she was very impressed with Dr. Castelli’s abilities to help the babies come out. I also love his nurse Sandy, she is very sweet and his receptionists. Great staff. I will continue to see Dr. Castelli as my obgyn and I highly recommend him!
