Dr. Pearson is very knowledgeable and made me feel I was where I needed to be. Being diagnosed with a large brain tumor isn’t what anyone wants to hear But he gave me comfort in knowing I was gonna be taken care of and his bedside manners gave me comfort in knowing I was in the best place I could be. My tumor turned out to actually be enlarged bones that appeared to look the same as a tumor would on scans. He called me himself to tell me this news one day before Christmas He gave me the best Christmas present I could ever wish for in my life. He told me he was very much in shock when he got my last scans and saw for a fact what appeared as a tumor was actually oversized bones which isn’t common but not anything dangerous. If you have been diagnosed with any type of brain tumor, Dr Pearson is the one you should contact. You will be in the best hands you could ask for ! He doesn’t treat his patients like a number. I felt like I was his only patient ! I’m so thankful for him!

I recently went to Dr. Pearson for a second opinion on a pituitary tumor. I found him to be most caring, and informative, I feel very confident in him doing my surgery. Birmingham is blessed to have him as A Dr.

Dr Pearson did a l5 s1 micro diskectomy and laminectomy on my back on December 20th 2017. Even after more MRIs I still have daily pain and I mean 24/7 365. My neurologist had put me on neurontin three times a day I don't know that it does anything. As of February 1st I was served with divorce papers and he cleared out my bank account My husband and I didn't even have money to buy groceries until my attorney got involved who hired me I hired him even though I didn't have any money at the time. And that money is still not back in my account It's with his lawyer in a trust his lawyer did it so that I would not have money to hire a lawyer. So when my next disability check came in I paid him part and over the past few months paid him partial amount and he has went through to hearings and hiding a back pain and no not having enough money to pay $800 to fill our deductible what's too much and I told them to call off the MRI but didn't call Dr Pearson's office because Franklin I had bigger and better things to worry about than a doctor visit at that point I couldn't even afford the $50 copay. So once things got straightened out now they won't see me. That's perfectly fine they're plenty of other neurosurgeons that can do the same thing. I've been researching them ever since I was rudely told over the telephone by the receptionist I guess that I was no longer a patient. I want to get my medical records myself and I need to see if that is possible. I'm going to do some research but in the meantime do not miss an appointment do not miss a few like I did because I was dealing with personal issues and I probably won't be pursuing anymore surgery but I'm not sure yet. In November we have our trial and I'll be off of his insurance then. I will be on Medicare and I don't know anything about Medicare. All I know is on my next doctor I'll call and let them know what's going on so that I'm not throwing away like yesterday's trash. Everything that goes around comes around and you have put a disabled woman living in a hotel suite because I can't do anything with my dog and spending all the money that I can get try to get my 12-year-old son back I've only seen him a few times since February. Don't worry I'll get my records. Good luck to you all and may God bless you.

Dr. Pearson performed a lumbar microdiskectomy on my back. For a week or two, everything was fine - normal post-op soreness. But when my back pain came back a few weeks later, all he did was send me for an mri and tell me it wasn't related to my surgery. I don't doubt his ability as a surgeon, but as a caregiver and, well, a functional human being I find him lacking. He treated me like an annoyance every time I saw him. I was in the building seeing my pain doctor and I went to his office to schedule an appointment after a fall to see if I might have messed up the work he did on my back and was told that I couldn't make an appointment by coming to the office. When I finally heard back from his office two days later, I was told to go see my pain doctor first. My orthopedic doctor and my pain doctor both think it's my back. But Dr. Pearson apparently is too important to accept other doctors opinions. I will never use the cocky douchebag again.

If anyone is considering any type of surgery related to the spine, I would recommend Dr Pearson without any reservation. Dr Pearson took the time to explain the procedure and answer all questions. He took the time to go over my MRI and explain what he would be doing and how. My post surgery experience was painless and I had absolutely no discomfort. I was able to eat lunch and dinner the day of my surgery without any problems. I recommend Dr Pearson very highly.

I have unfortunately had multiple spine surgeries from lower back to neck. I work in the medical industry and was recommended to Dr. Pearson by an Orthopeadics surgeon. Dr. Pearson and his staff were phenomenal in every area of the practice and surgery. I saw a negative post by someone else and took it as disturbing. Every patient is different and every doctor is not the same. As someone who has had many surgeries, I would put Dr. Pearson at the top and would highly recommend him for anyone needing the services of a neurosurgeon.

I had a microdiscomy that Dr.Pearson said I never would have anymore trouble with. He was very cocky about how good he was. Well it last about 3-4 weeks and I was in terrible pain.It was at L4, exactly where I had the surgery. I went back and he sent me for therapy which didn't help. He sent me for another MRI and said pain was coming from my hip, that there was nothing wrong with my back. After going to a hip doctor and him ordering another MRI,found out my L4 nerve root was impinged.I had to have a fusion at L4. Dr.Pearson just sent me on down the road and he knew after the last MRI that he ordered that I had impingement and the disc was herniated because I went to the hospital and got the MRI report and it tells it in black and white.Shame on you doctor, you caused me a lot of pain and suffering.

I can't say enough how grateful I am to Dr. Pearson, he saved my husbands life! When no other doctor believed my husbands symptoms Dr Pearson saw that he had spinal stenosis and scheduled emergency surgery a few days later. My husband is now getting movement in his legs and beginning to walk with a walker. His whole body was becoming paralyzed and organs shutting down and the neurologist he was seeing for two years just wanted to send him to a pain clinic! I'm so thankful to God most of all for leading us to Dr. Pearson!

Dr. Pearson is a rarity among medical professionals, highly capable and caring at the same time. I was diagnosed with a rare congenital condition in my spine at age 47. Finding someone to perform this surgery on me as an adult was challenging. We visited several different surgeons in the Birmingham area and even spoke with docs as far away as San Francisco. Dr. Pearson received flawless recommendations from every reference. He was cautious with my diagnosis, making me fully aware of possible complications from surgery. Dr. Pearson, along with Dr. Haynes, spent 8 hours performing my surgery. The first face I was when I woke up was Dr. Pearson asking if I could wiggle my toes. You should have seen the smile on his face when I did! There was no doubt in my mind that he was fully invested in my well being. Both docs had smiles on their faces every time they entered my hospital room and the one post op phone call I had to make was answered by Dr. Haynes instantaneously.

Dr. Pearson and his staff are great. I found him through researching doctors on websites such as this one. I scheduled my appt, he evaluated me and listened to my problems. I scheduled a minimally invasive microdiscectomy, and couldn't have found a better doctor. I live over 2 hrs away and he and his staff were very accommodating to that. I went to other neurosurgeons closer to home and was treated poorly. The kind of doctors who have that "god" complex. Dr. Pearson is the complete opposite. If you are looking for a neurosurgeon, you couldn't be in better hands.
