Saw this surgeon for a 2nd opinion after an Atwal Eye Care "experience" with cataract removal. He nailed the problem in a second and referred me to 4 of the top retina specialists in WNY. Awtal has a supposed retina specialist on staff. The subject was never even brought up within the 9 post surgery visits between the slew of OD's and MD I was seeing for the 3%-10% of the population who get complications after cataract surgery. Only one Atwal OD caught my complication... the non retina MD not impressed with especially after 5 visits....AND I never even saw the surgeon who did the work in the first place. The surgery itself was bad enough there.

Do not go here if you have had Lasik surgery and develop a cataract. Extensive experience in both Lasik and cataracts is vital, especially when a multifocal IOL is concerned. He had no Lasik experience. He said that there was no need to refer me anywhere else. Then after a poor outcome he said that post Lasik people are always a problem. It will know cost me another $2000 to fix the problem (hopefully). He may be alright with "normal" cataracts, but if you have had (Lasik, PRK) DO NOT GO HERE
