Do not use this psychiatrist he is a very irresponsible doctor he will prescribe you psych medicines in high doses very early in a very irresponsible and reckless manner you will be in and out of his office in five minutes and he will wait in the waiting room for at least a half hour avoid At all cost!!😡😡😡

Dr. Banks is the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. He knows how to work with my mental health issues through managing my medication and encourages me to stay in support groups.

This is the first review I have ever written, the fact that I had to write it should let everyone being a patient of his, when I was told the news that my husband had a 20 percent chance of living I was so distraught Iput a call in to Dr. Banks, his secretary told me he was with a patient and would return my call, he NEVER did. Then when his secretary called in a wrong prescription for me and I had the nerve to complain I got a letter from him telling me he will not be treating me anymore, with no explanation. It's been well over 3 months that I call consistently for a reason for my "dismissal" but he will never return my call. All this from a doctor in the mental health field. I
would strongly suggest keep far away, there are plenty of other doctors around.

I have been seeing Dr. Banks for years. He listens and answers questions. Professional, understanding and compassionate. If he does not know something he gives helpful advice and recommendations. I see him for a few issues but mostly I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. The medicine he has me on works well. Staff is also helpful, friendly and considerate.

I recently began seeing the dr banks . This far I like him , his staff is poor at answering the phone. But very helpful and pleasant. He has put me on non narcotic meds. And feel calm and comfort from my visits

I went to him for years from the time I was 14 to 21. He misdiagnosed me. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He definitely prescribes you whatever you want and does not believe you when you complain about severe side effects, which many SSRI's have, including hallucinations to suicidal thoughts out of nowhere! OH and when you switch doctors, he will NOT send over your paperwork. Isn't that illegal?

Dr. Banks is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have severe bipolar disorder and this is the first psychiatrist who knew what he was doing. He told me upfront it would take time to wean me off my current medication and replace it with more effective ones. It took 7 months total but I feel better than I have since my first episode at age 24. Thanks Dr. Banks!

Does not listen. Spends minimal time with patient. Prescribes too fast and adjusts meds too quickly. Minimizes complaints of side effects.
