My wife went to Mr. Horton for a sever ankle injury she that wasn't healing She and I both found his behavior to be utterly unprofessional, For example, when he couldn't find what he was looking for in her file, he dropped f-bombs complaining to himself about it. He questioned her intelligence, ( she is a science professor so she is very smart) when she tried to make a joke of how she hurt herself. He went on to suggest she couldn't handle even the tiniest amounts of pain and treated her as though she was wasting his precious time stating it was probably just a sever sprain. All this after waiting more than an hour past her appointment time to see him.
Long story short we found another surgeon who found that she needed an ankle replacement and couldn't believe she was still walking on it , albeit with a cane. A year later and she is doing amazing-no thanks to Mr. Greg Horton whose belligerence and unprofessional demeanor encouraged us to go elsewhere. Go ANYWHERE else but to him.

Dr Horton takes his time with you and answers all questions. He is very caring and incredibly knowledgeable. His nurses were wonderful. Melina is fantastic!!
He runs behind because he doesn’t rush through your appointment. I’m very thankful to Dr Horton for staying with me through a lengthy and difficult injury repair.

Had a total ankle replacement- hospital stay was fantastic. Great surgeon but low on communication. If you have questions he will answer, but does not offer a lot of additional information or warm fuzzies. Staff is courteous and helpful. I certainly would go to him again, but I got a lot more information regarding what to expect from a Facebook group.

Surgery of Cartiva implant was a total failure. Would of been better off never having it. Hospital staff was excellent. Drs. office staff was impolite and zero communication skills. Appointment times mean nothing to them. they get paid whether surgery was successful or not.

The wait was usually around an hour, but I never felt rushed when he was in the room. Very knowledgeable. Did a great job with lateral ankle reconstruction.

This doctor and his staff RUINED MY LIFE. He told me to my face there was no way anything would be worse. 2 years later and I am still disabled and in constant pain FROM THE SURGERY. I should have never seen him. Worst mistake of my life. Walk, don't run from this doctor and his piece of sh*t staff - especially his nurse Katie.

Dr. Horton did an ankle fusion on me on January 2007 I was in a cast for 10 months. Here it is 11 years later and I can no longer wear any type of shoes other than open back house slippers. This is due to the severe curvature of the foot and ankle he fused. I wish I never would have had this done by him. I will never walk right again due to this fusion. I have had 2 knee replacements since then that have gone very well the big problem is I will never walk the same again due to my ankle and foot being fused. Heed my warning never have anything fused I don't understand why an ankle replacement was not an option that he considered. My current orthopedic surgeon refuses to do any type of fusions. Heartbroken
