I took my aunt to see Dr. Heiskes, but she didn't listen to her complaints. She completely dismissed her concerns about her swelling and painful left knee, attributing the pain solely to arthritis. My aunt has been experiencing persistent knee pain, and the doctor suggested that surgery is the only solution. In the meantime, she advised us to use ice. I wish I could give her a more negative rating. We have made the decision not to continue seeing her as a doctor.

Wish I could give zero stars. Tore my ACL when I was 25 years-old, and Dr. Heikes “reconstructed” it. Two years later, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I no longer can compete as a long distance runner, which has been my passion and outlet my whole life. You’re not supposed to get osteoarthritis when you’re only 27 years-old. It’s ruined my life. I wish I would’ve gone to an actual legitimate knee surgeon who wouldn’t have screwed up my knee and everything else.

I visited Dr. Heikes yesterday because my knee hurt bad. She gave me 3 suggestions for treatment and discussed all three in detail and advised a cortisone shot. The shot took effect later that day and feels better and better. I can go up & down steps with no pain! Just a little twinge once in a while. However, I couldn't sleep very well - got up for a couple hours then went back to bed. Perhaps an advisement on not being able to sleep would be advisable. I have LOTS of energy today and feel real good. Megan the PA did a good job on the injection - it only hurt for half a second, very tolerable. Good doctor, good staff, very friendly and willing to really talk to patient. I'm very happy with the care I received.

Being a runner herself, Dr. Heikes understands its importance in my life. That I'm still running is thanks to her pragmatism, and her skill as a surgeon and a listener. And appointments are usually within a day or two of calling!

I love working with this team! I'm always in and out in a timely manner, yet they take the time I need for questions and concerns. My surgery went very well and I'm on the road to full recovery.

Dr. Heikes had energy, empathy, was interested in me and really keyed in on what was needed. Could have spend an hour with her. I really trust her. Her PA, Megan is incredible too. Highly recommend Dr. Heikes and her team
