Dr Kim performed a RNY on me in 2015. It is my opinion that he was grossly negligent but because Kaiser has the patient sign a waiver I was unable to seek damages. The surgery was completed by a hernia. It is my opinion that Dr Kim got in a hurry to close. He admitted to my husband after my second surgery that he had caught my stomach on a staple and squeezed my pancreas and I also had a twisted bowel. I am 3 1/2 years post surgery. I still have difficulty eating without getting ill. I believe that had he not been forcefully persuaded to perform the second surgery I would have died. As it was I spent most of July 2015 in the hospital and had to have gastric tube feeding for a time. I would not recommend this Doctor.
