I have a disease called pseudotumor and you have no idea how much I suffered before I was able to find somebody that knew what was wrong with me. It started out as just regular headaches and then it progressed into blurry and double vision. I was nauseous all the time and couldn't keep anything down. I would go to the emergency room every other day to get a IV with pain medication, which wouldn't not take my headache away but it would take it down to where it would be tolerable. The neurologist I was seeing at the time kept telling me it was a migraine headaches, and was just running a bunch of tests. Me and my husband both kept on saying to him we don't think migraine headaches are what I have or else the IV infusion that they were also doing in the office should be helping but, "No The doctor knows best" and I was the one suffering... to the point where the black portion of my eyeball was turning in towards my nose. Now, wrap your mind around the site of that! I was just in agony. So my husband suggested that I look for a different neurologist, and that's how i found Dr Mostofi one of the best things that has ever happened to me. On the first visit I knew that we were destined to be together dwl (don't tell my husband I said that) dwl ha ha. He said, ""Mrs. Barnes you have a disease called pseudotumor based on everything that you told me and after looking over your medical record, know don't be frightened nothing to be afraid of, You don't have an actual tumor in your brain"". He said we're going to do a lumbar puncture, to release the pressure around your brain. Remember because as I said the black portion of my eyeball was turned inside and I haven't even mentioned the throbbing that came with the pain. As soon as I woke up from the lumbar puncture I felt better, The doctor said to my husband he has never seen pressure that high in someone's brain. My pressure was 58 and they brought it down to 27. My vision came back and the pain was much better. My first lumbar puncture was Christmas Eve 2014 I am still a patient of Dr. Mostofi and I will continue being one of his patients as long as I need him. There are so many reasons why I appreciate this doctor. For exp, If I call the office and leave a message to speak to him, he calls me back directly... which doctor does that?. None of my other doctors call me back the nurse is the one that returns my call. If I have a procedure he calls and checks on me directly, not his receptionist. He doesn't ask me to send email to the patient portal, I can leave a message with the receptionist and someone will get back in touch with me. Whenever I go to the office I just don't feel rushed. He always spends time to explain what is happening to me, the next step in my recovery, it doesn't matter how many questions my husband has he never seems to be agitated , just very good bedside manner's overall. He's very understanding and caring. I do not feel as if I am just a way to make money. I think he loves what he does and he wants his patients to get healthy. I've gone there so often the staff knows me and my husband by name even when I call they know my Voice. I just wanted to share my experience and what I'm going through and if anybody out there has this disease or if you are unsure if you have this disease, Dr. Mostofi knows a lot about this disease and many more. He is THE doctor to go to.

Overall Mostofi was fine until he upped and left the Mishra & Mishra practice in April of this year with no notice. Maybe it is for the best but the day that he was suppose to give my diagnosis on whether I have MS or not, he left. I still dont know. The office receptionist named Wendy is a total witch and if I could explain all that happened with her I could. Basically she yells at you, she tries to give you her diagnosis of whats wrong with you even though she is just a receptionist/medical assist. I had back spasms and due to steroid withdrawal but she said I had a UTI. She is a liar and she threatened to call the police on me when I told her I was coming to the office to get my diagnosis even though I did not have a formal appointment. She needs to be fired. Go elsewhere. I know I will. She is a liability to this practice.
