I had a not so great experience. Heather was my OB. She was very polite and kind at appointments, but fell short when it mattered. She told me I wasn’t in labor when I was and sent me home. Then I called the ER at 2am crying in pain (labor) and they patched me to her. She told me that I wasn’t in labor and that if I really felt like I needed to, then go in (sarcastically). My husband made me go in (I was very discouraged but in a lot of pain). Turns out I was indeed in labor. She had me push for 2 1/2 hours until I couldn’t keep my eyes open and felt like I was losing consciousness. My son was born healthy (thank goodness). I didn’t know but I had hemorrhaged pretty bad during labor. The next day she discharged me without having had me try to walk or anything. Little did I know, I had a hemoglobin level of 6.5. The minimum your body is supposed to have is 12. As I tried to walk out of the hospital I was dizzy and dry heaving. The nurse walking with me said ‘oh, that’s not good’ when we had to stop so I could sit halfway through my walk to the front doors. I ended up back in the ER getting blood transfusions a few days after getting home. I don’t say this to be rude or bash her as a professional, however, I don’t want others going through the horrible experience like the one I had. I truly thought I was going to die.

Dr Heather Bedell delivered my twins via csection in 2015. I wanted to try for a vbac but since the presenting twin was breech I had to have a cesarean. I was interested in trying to get baby A to move into position by going to a chiropractor or trying some other things off spinning babies website. She was not interested in helping me with that at all and told me I was wasting my time and just needed to come to terms with the csection being the only way. When it came time for my cesarean she closed the door on my husband on purpose not letting him into the operating room and other staff member had to let him in. According to my current obgyn who just performed an emergency cesarean last month Dr Bedell performed a poor surgery according to my obgyn making her job very difficult and my recovery long and hard. Dr Bedell was mediocre at best. The rest of the Trinity hospital labor and delivery staff was excellent. I would not reccomend her to anyone for prenatal care but is adequate for a yearly check up

I couldn't imagine a better doctor than Dr. Bedell. She was patient, kind, and truly interested in my baby as well as myself. She made me feel at ease throughout my entire pregnancy. My baby was breech, so I had to have a c section and Dr. Bedell made it something to look forward to instead of something scary. The surgery was very fast and without complications. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bedell for anyone in need of an OB/GYN.

Dr. Heather Bedell should not be used as an OB. She would be fine to go to of a yearly PAP, but she is not present enough to be an effective OB.

WONDERFUL!! This was my first baby so I was very nervous about everything and Dr. Heather Bedell made me very comfortable! She is extremely nice and personable and she really cares about her patients!! She was available to talk to me when she was not in the office and she is very knowledgable! She was absolutely wonderful in my prenatal care but she was out of the country when I went in to labor so Dr. Amsbury actually delivered my baby. I was a very low risk patient with a very normal pregnancy but my baby decided to come a few weeks early on the day that Dr. Bedell just so happened to be gone but I can't blame her for that at all since the baby came 3 weeks away from my due date! I would definitely recommend her to everyone! Loved her!!
