I drove from Texas to see Dr. Wagshul - none of the doctors here could do anything for me. He spent several hours with me to learn my history and discuss a treatment plan. Three months later I am remarkably better and look forward to getting better everyday. It was a life changer. If you have severe asthma please research him and his treatments. You may want to make the trip to Ohio to see him yourself. Worth every penny and time (5 days of driving there and back). We now do phone consults and he is great. His office staff promptly respond to any phone calls or emails I send to communicate and address questions or concerns. In fact, I get better care and service from him and his staff than the doctor 10 minutes away!!
By the way, I am not aware of any $150.00 annual fee that his office charges as mentioned by another reviewer - so I am not sure if that is accurate anymore.

Two years ago I was very sick and knew my bronchials had another problem. Dr Wagshul was suggested so i went to see him. He ran a series of tests and diagnosed me right off with bronchiolitis and attacked this with the right kinds of antibiotics? Within less than two weeks i was back to myself. I am thankful I was directed to Dr. Fred Wagshul.

Stopped going to see him due to his $150 per year "administrative fee." It is supposedly for his staff answering phone calls, calling in prescriptions, scheduling appointments, call backs, etc. Are we paying his staff or is he? How can the elderly afford this fee? He questioned my marital status, and one of his first questions to me was why hadn't I remarried? Why is this HIS business? He was always behind schedule; one time by almost 2 hours. I was not impressed.

I sought treatment from 4 doctors and 3 hospitals, was misdiagnosed, and continued to suffer and run to the ER in the middle of the night because I COULD NOT BREATHE, even with multiple prescribed inhalers. I then drove over 2 hours to see Dr. Wagshul and he found the problem right away and began appropriate treatment. Within a few short months, I improved and he slowly weaned me off the inhalers. Dr. Wagshul is a MAVERICK, who seeks to cure illness rather than dispense “band aid” medical care for a patient’s lifetime. He is one of a small, elite group of doctors in the US. Dr. Wagshul is open-minded and has continued to study, learn and grow way beyond graduation from medical school. He educates his patients and listens to his patients. After finding a doctor like this, you cannot go back to the others.

I was referred to Dr. Wagshul after becoming inhaler-dependent in my late 30's with no previous issues with asthma or breathing problems. After thorough testing and consultation I was diagnosed with a chronic bacterial infection and prescribed long term combined antibiotics. It was a long road of ups and downs but Dr. Wagshul never wavered and I am here today absolutely drug and inhaler free with no symptoms after more than a year of ending treatment. I have a new life thanks to him.

I am so fortunate to have found Dr. Wagshul. He has helped me so much! I had gone to several doctors before I found Dr. Wagshul, and not one took the time to do testing, blood work, etc. I was really unable to breathe, but Dr. Wagshul has been working with me, and I can say I have had a wonderful treatment by him. I drive 4 hours one way for my appointments, but that is 4 hours one way well worth the trip. He is absolutely a pleasant, informative, professional doctor. I cannot say enough good about him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wagshul for more than 10 years. He may be running behind his schedule a little, but this is because of the detailed background info and physical examination that he solicits from each and every patient. I never feel like I am on the assembly line when I am in his office. My history presented him with some unusual challenges as pre-existing conditions required him to research the interaction of systemic involvement of Lymes disease as a complicating factor. He became involved in researching the interaction so that he could effectively mitigate the complicating factors while still addressing the current problems appropriately.
