I would definitely recommend this doctor and have! Took my elderly father-in-law to see him and was very pleased with his knowledge, assessment, courtesy and respect he showed to all of us. His communication skills were excellent! I was able to talk to him about my concerns regarding my father-in-law's health in a subtle way that did not offend and the doctor addressed my concerns completely without "talking over" his patient. The doctor was very informative about my relative's condition and gave viable options to us as to what we could do for someone of that age. We saw him several times and was pleased with each visit. My father-in-law did not like doctors BUT he liked and respected Dr. Dow.

He seems to know what he is doing. He is very quick to assess. I am guessing he is very experienced. After the physical part of the assessment was complete, he told me that my psychiatric medications were causing my memory loss--which is why I came in. I told him I was hoping it would not interfere with school, and he said it would. I had to drop out--partially because my psychiatric medications left me too impaired to be a nursing student. On the way out he was rude to me for some reason. He told me not to come back or something along those lines. It's upsetting me because I feel like I may need to go back again and not all specialists accept my insurance. I respected his honesty although his bedside manner is not the best.
