Should not be in Psychiatry, Dr Mattam was very offensive towards my teen son. She made very condescending remarks towards my and his prospects for college. The irony is, she is treating him for depression! Dr. Mattam is reckless and has a superiority complex. Do not take your children here, unless you wish to aggravate their condition.

I was lied to by them to go- lied to again when they tried to charge extra for the copay. The 'Dr' immediately made me break down and cry then wondered why I was crying. She never read the hour worth of paperwork I filled out. I was there for my social anxiety to get a doctor's slip to pardon jury summons since I cannot attend public situations like that. She said it 'wasn't that bad' and the worst thing was just me crying. She was going to ask me to leave if I didn't talk to her. I couldn't talk due to her scaring me as soon as I got in. I would only recommend this 'Dr' if you want to waste your time money and emotional stability. She is very loud condescending and needs to get off her high horse. What a pathetic excuse for a doctor. A real joke.

This doctor is a real b i t c h! She has a very condescending manner with a superiority tone. Her lack of compassion for my adopted daughter was so outrageous. She felt the need to ask me where her father was. Assuming my Korean daughter was a one night stand, or something. I was totally duped into this appointment with a lie. Do not go to this woman!

Rude and condescending. Talked over me the whole time. Questioned my diagnoses of PTSD and anxiety, then had the nerve to ask and appropriate gRape culture with "are you sure that's what happened (forced unwanted sexual activities)?" My first and last visit. Her knowledge of medication and legalities concerning medication are also flat wrong. When listing my previous treatments, she flat out called me a liar and said it was illegal and I never could have been prescribed Marinol before. She also refused to believe my history of previous therapists, until I procured business cards/appt reminders from my wallet. As someone without empathy and operating almost without humanity, she should not be practicing in the field of psychiatry. Worst visit ever. Left in tears

Agree with the other reviewers, stay away! She has an incredibly harsh/angry/demeaning attitude towards her patients. She didn't believe the things I said and yelled at me in front of my husband, then told him to leave and yelled at me for bringing him there (he was just coming to be supportive!) I can't believe she's actually licensed to practice.

I agree with most of what everybody has to say: cold, clinical, more concerned about crossing her T's and dotting her I's that with the human being sitting in front of her; dispassionate, almost angry. Perhaps she should find another line of work....prison guard maybe ;) She kept asking me the same questions. It was all there in 'her' paperwork if she bothered to read it. I also noticed that she really stacking the patients in. Perhaps she hopes that 3 of 5 will tolerate her and does not mind being a 60%er ;)

Dr. Mattam has always been professional and very courteous with me. I have been seeing her for 2 plus years and she has been nothing but helpful. Do I agree with everything she tells me or that we discuss, but that is what Drs. and patients do....she tells me from her medical knowledge and I tell her from my point of view what I think., We then compromise or we simply disagree. I wouldn't want to have a Dr. who just listened and didn't give me something valuable to consider, or simply agreed to keep the peace. She is knowledgeable and she shares that knowledge with me. Its a good fit for me.

Dr. Mattam is rude and inconsiderate. She took three phone calls during my session. One was a personal call! She insinuated I was lying about situations or my background. She made a rude comment to my daughter about her being adopted. She dismissed my concerns and said my daughter was 'too complicated' to treat. STAY AWAY FROM THIS 'so-called' DOCTOR!
