Dr. Sanchez did a thorough exam to check for skin cancer. He only focused on possible cancerous spots-probably because that is all insurance will cover. He removed a basil cell carcinoma 2nd visit. The wound was stitched very tight and was painful with the smallest movement. The scar is very noticeable. It isn't straight and the stitch lines still show-looks like something from Frankenstein. I have had another dermatologist remove cancerous spots leaving minimal scarring with just one small straight line that is slightly lighter in skin tone than my other skin. Perhaps Dr. Sanchez needs more practice in wound closures, but I do not intend to be his guinea pig again. Also, he and his medical assistant talked about their weekend the entire time he was cutting and stitching. It made me feel that he wasn't paying close attention to what he was doing. If you prefer minimal scarring, you should probably look elsewhere for a dermatologist.
