I saw this guy in a post op (rectocele repair and other issues) visit, he is not my reg doc, whom I love. I was in a LOT of pain, and they had me come in to get the stitches looked at. Not only did he NOT look at the stitches, all he did is press on my tummy a little and proclaim me a 'slow healer'. When I asked to refill my pain meds (2 weeks postop) he said that he gives no pain meds beyond 1 week. (many with this type of surgery are on pain meds for a month or longer)AND made it sound like my doc (whom I love)was overly lenient. I said what should I do and he said Ibuprofen or Aleve even though it states CLEARLY in my records I am allergic to NSAIDS. I asked what should I do, he said..."Bite the bullet." I left in tears, I was in so much pain and so upset by the way he treated me. I called my doc's nurse as soon as I got home, and she said to use an ice pack, which worked well, turns out I had a bacterial infection, which she treated, you couldn't pay me to see this guy again.
