Dr. Boyd Richards is by far one of the best doctors/surgeons I've ever encountered. He is extremely caring, interested, intelligent, responsive and the surgical outcome EXCEEDS my expectations. Imagine a doctor who cares about your well-being! My family has been amazed by his care and dedication. This was the best team of medical staff I have been around in a long time.

I work in the medical field. I've met many Drs from all walks of life. Dr. Richards is the gold standard for kindness, compassion, & excellent care. The office is the best run system I've ever witnessed...& again, I've seen many. You can trust this man with your life. I certainly have & feel blessed to have found him.

I really liked Dr. Richards, he found & repaired my aneurysm. I thought I had finally found a caring nice doctor. Unfortunately when a new problem came up & my Drs. wanted me seen by him asap, I was totally blown off & all attempts to talk with him were ignored. He would only communicate through his assistant, who is incompetent & treated me horribly. If a doctor chooses to keep bad staff, it doesn't reflect well on them. Thanks to the way I was treated by his assistant, he has lost a patient!

Dr. Richards is truly the best. He is straight forward and honest, and will do what he thinks is truly in the best interest of the patient. Nobody wanted to operate on me because I was so young but Dr. Richards knew it had to be done and literally saved me from becoming paralyzed which would've happened in a matter of months had I not gotten surgery. Great bedside manners. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Boyd Richards, is the true professional and a wonderful surgeon, who also has great bedside manners too. He spends as much time as he needs to answer all of your questions about your condition. You won't find many Neurosurgeons around like Dr. Richards. I highly recommend him to anyone for spine or brain surgery, and he is also in a very well known practice and they perform the most minimally invasive spine surgeries around. The office staff is very friendly too!

Had tried to see 2 other doctors before Dr.Richards. He was very courteous and actually took the time to get me in to perform a second discectomy. Had seen another doctor for pain management in which referred me to him. He was very personable and will see you if you can't get results from other neurosurgeons located in Ann Arbor who are too concerned about their vacation being interrupted for people who return to them in pain. Thanks Dr. Richards, see you soon for my follow up.
