In May 2022 I had anterior hip replacement surgery performed by Dr Wendy Wong. I was prescribed several levels of pain medication however all I ever needed was Tylenol. I really had so little pain that I stopped the Tylenol after a few weeks. Dr. Wong is the most amazing surgeon. It’s so wonderful to be free. I have nothing but good things so say about Dr Wong and her staff.

Dr. Wong performed my knee replacement on 2/17/2022. I was off the Oxy in five days and walking without a walker in less than two weeks. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her staff.

Midas Touch—Knee Replacement Surgery Without Narcotics.
I’ve had three previous knee surgeries over the last 15 years, done by three different surgeons. When my current surgeon, Dr. Wendy Wong, said I had run out of options and joint replacement was my only choice, I came within a hair of backing out. Every story I heard talked about excruciating pain, with even strong narcotics only bringing the pain to a level 8. Who wants that? With great trepidation, I went ahead and had Dr. Wong perform the surgery, knowing her hyaluronic injections were injected with a skill no other doctor had reached. It’s now been two weeks past the surgery, and I have controlled the typical pain (which is between a 1 and 2) with Tylenol and Celebrex (I have an allergy to NSAIDS such as aspirin and Ibuprofen) and ice and ice and ice. No narcotics were needed. The one occasion the pain got to a 4, I controlled it by icing. I am so glad I went ahead with the surgery with Dr. Wong. She has a “Midas touch.” The pain has not been nearly as bad as the horror stories led me to believe. I never considered taking a narcotic. I am recovering faster than expected and will soon be back doing what I want pain free without a narcotic addiction.

Dr Wendy Wong performed my knee replacement on 12/23/21. I never had to use the oxycodone for pain management. I was able to control pain with the Tylenol and Tramadol. I also stopped using my walker 2 weeks after surgery. She is wonderful. She answered all my questions and I never felt nervous about my upcoming surgery.
What a blessing Dr Wendy Wong is.
Thank you!

I have had 2 surgeries with Dr. Wong. In Oct 2019 I had a total hip replacement. In Oct 2020 I had a total knee replacement. Dr. Wong is a incredible Dr. She is pleasant, has a good bedside manner and knows what she is doing. I had my 1st surgery when I was 77 and the 2nd when I turned 78. I am still healing from the knee surgery but I am doing very well considering my age. I believe her knowledge is what is helping me heal fast. I would certantly recommend Dr. Wong to be anyone's surgeon.

Dr. Wendy Wong is a skilled magician, who performed my total hip replacement with the ease of someone who knows exactly what they are doing. That’s why, from start to finish, the whole procedure seemed like magic to me. I went home from the hospital the same day, wondering if I’d really had major surgery. And now, 3 months later, I’ve had a stress free and nearly painless recovery - walking, running, and jumping! I can barely even see the scar. Hats off to Dr. Wong - surgeon and magician

Dr. Wong replaced both my knees. The right knee in 2019 and my left knee in 2020. She is an amazing surgeon, professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and nice. My last procedure was as an outpatient, I was home by 5:00 that afternoon...just amazing. Her staff is really good as well. A very positive experience for both of my procedures. She is the very best!

I am 73 years old, in reasonably good health. I have been a patient of Muir Orthopedics for 20 years, and have always received excellent care from them. However, my most recent experience is worthy of special mention. Two weeks ago Dr. Wendy Wong, one of Muir’s orthopedic surgeons, performed a partial replacement of my right knee. The entire experience, from the treatment leading up to the replacement, the replacement itself, and the aftercare has been excellent. Dr. Wong advised that I work on strengthening and stretching the muscles in my legs prior to the surgery, which I did and it really paid off (it also helped that I dropped 10 pounds of excess weight). The day of the procedure was problem free, and I was able to go home the same day. I was told to expect to use walking aids for up to 60 days after the surgery, but I ditched my walker the second day and the cane three days after that. I have been diligent in performing the prescribed exercises three times per day, and icing the knee five times per day; as a result, my knee straightening and flexion and very close to normal and I walk without a problem, even up and down stairs. I drove myself to my post-op appointment today, 14 days after the surgery. Basic meds (no opioids) have eliminated my pain, except when I push very hard on straightening or flexing my knee, as is recommended by my physical therapist (who is also very good, just like the rest of the Muir Orthopedic Group). All in all, the whole experience has been far better than I expected. I am very impressed with Dr. Wong and the whole team.

Dr. Wong replaced my left hip in June 2020. I was up and walking with a walker the day of the surgery. I was able to go home in less than 24 hours. Two days after the surgery, I no longer needed the walker. Within two weeks I was walking 3 miles a day. I cannot say enough about the quality of care I received from Dr. Wong and her entire extended team of professionals from pre-surgery, surgery, recovery and physical therapy.
