I was sent to him for a 2nd opinion regarding the 4 compressed vertebrae in my neck as a result of my work related injury. Instead of evaluating my neck injury he insisted on doing a physical examination on my injured hand and shoulder. When I told him I had already been diagnosed and treated by 2 different surgical hand specialist and 2 different orthopedic specialist he informed me that I had been misdiagnosed by my previous specialist for those specific limbs. I did not have CRPS and he was going to do determine my correct diagnosis after completing a thorough examination. He proceeded to manipulate my hand and shoulder in different ways that caused me intense pain to the point I cried and asked him several times not to continue his examination. He had to examine my teeth, and the underneath portion of my tongue. He had me remove my shoes and socks so that he examine my feet and move my toes around. The entire time he was examining my other limbs he asked me questions about my previous medical history before my work related injuries including how many times I had been pregnant, how many live births I had, abortions, still births, spontaneous abortions. None of which had anything to do with my work related injuries. He also asked about my family’s medical health history specifically if there was a history with mental illness or heart conditions. Any time he did something that hurt me during his examination he would tell me to keep my eyes open and ask me describe what type of I was experiencing. His verbal and physical examination of my other work related injured body parts took 4 hours. He concluded that I had definitely been misdiagnosed and that I had left thoracic outlet syndrome and not complex regional pain syndrome. He was supposed to evaluate the 4 compressed vertebrae in my neck and send his report to my QME for further evaluation. Instead he wants me to come back and see him in 4 weeks so he discuss treatment options. Not happening. He is very rude and unprofessional. Doctors take Hippocratic oath before graduate medical school one of those promises within that oath is “first, do no harm” He broke that oath multiple times during the 4 hours he examined me.?
