No way ever. Google this Dr. She’s a criminal & did a horrible back surgery on my sister also leaving her ROT with infectious disease gotten during that surgery. Enterobacter.. she literally did last few big jobs *on bail* then disappeared to have to check in to JAIL, st Luke’s allowed her to do back & brain surgeries while she was out on bond!!! No one even told us just POOF gone!! Left my grandmother brain surgery a mess with MRSA contracted same period. Can’t believe this unethical obnoxious criminal is still doing any medical work. Thanks a lot you rotten thing!!!! I trusted you! My sisters never been the same, far worse. Both you, & St Luke should be CLOSED. (Gram is dead btw) my advice is RUN RUN AWAY FROM THIS BEAST. Run. Don’t look back. Run. My rating? ZERO ZERO GARBAGE ZERO

I had 4&5 Lumbar fusion and work done on my 3 as well. Know all I do is have problems with my back and can't work. I lost feeling in my left leg and foot. I still have pain in my lower back. She always smelled of booze. Know I'm about to lose my home!!! And she's still in practice down in Texas. This woman is wanted in Wisconsin for driving drunk. But yet she can mess people up. And get away with it!!!! If you ask me we should all get together and make it so she can't do surgery anymore. I will not even rate her. I would just give her a 0!! Signed Michael Stolldorf. You Bitch!!

Google her name before you make the decision to let her operate on you. She is a three time convicted drunk driver who fled Wisconsin to start fresh in Texas. But she failed to report her crimes to the Texas Medical Board, and they only knew because a patient whose mother died following surgery by Macias was the one who formally complained to the TMB. Please, look for a better surgeon!

Was so happy that I had found Dr. Macias! My back was so messed up and I was in such constant pain that I couldn't function at my job or in everyday life. She was so compassionate and took the time to explain what was wrong with my back and what needed to be done to feel better. She scheduled me for surgery a week after my first visit with her and my surgery was a HUGE success! I'm so THANKFUL for her. If she was still in Wisconsin I would surely refer anyone with back issues to go to her.

I had cervical spinal fusion surgery done by Dr. Macias in 2014. I was in so much pain after surgery and asked her the following morning, after a sleepless night, why the nerves in my right arm were still hurting, assuming she had fixed the problem of nerves being pinched by a herniated disk. I learned months later that she fused the C6 Vertebrae pointing downward (kyphosis) and when looking at the line of vertebrae, C6 is 4mm out of line between C5 and C7 (retrolisthesis) pinching nerves between C6 and C7. She wasn't angry with me each time I had a follow up visit, but as I continued to press her for an answer as to why my nerves still hurt, she was firm in her answers that the fusion was done correctly and that it would take time for the body to heal. It wasn't until my last visit with her in November of 2014 that she told me that I made up 3% of her practice, having issues after surgery. She informed me that she was moving out of state, to a new practice, wished me well and on the way out of the door, she stopped and said that she was sorry I was still in pain. It's been 3 years, I've seen 2 other neurosurgeons because of the pain and I have had to quit my job because of it. I've chosen not to have another surgery done to repair the issues because of the increased risks involved, including vocal and/or spinal paralysis.

Dr. Macias is under investigation by the medical licensing boards in both Wisconsin and Texas. She has 3 OWI convictions as well as pending investigation regarding a patient's death in January of 2016. Her bedside manner is absolutely awful. She is a very mean, angry, woman. Anyone looking to book with this surgeon- DON'T! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Everyone cconsidering this doctor should be aware of the fact that she is being actively investigated regarding the death of a patient in January of 2016, and also pled guilty to a third DUI charge. She is now attempting to leave the state and practice medicine elsewhere. She is licensed in Wisconsin, as well Texas and Illinois. Rest assured, "Doctor" Macias, your reputation precedes you and it's in your best interest to stop performing delicate operations on patients if you just can't kick your alcohol addiction.

This lady has a horrible bedside manner. She is rude and has no regard for her patients feelings. I witnessed her treat her staff like low class citizens and belittled them repeatedly. She has a God complex, and is in danger of losing her job due to repeated insubordination to her co-workers and patients. Do Not Use Her Services she is obnoxious.
