Awful. Arrogant. Unaccepting. Continued to discuss her political views even though I kindly asked her if we could keep politics out of our sessions. Would leave her office in a worse mood. She was not prescribing me correctly and made many errors. She was sarcastic and condescending and should have her license to practice revoked.

Absolutely horrific psychiatrist. Used to dread going to see her when I was growing up, was confrontational during patient meetings and acted surprised when teenager with mental health issues reacted negatively to it. As stated in previous review, does not listen to her patients but takes everything their parents say at face value. I would not recommend by any means.

Dr.Bauer exposed me to "family therapy" and ignored all of the times I told her that my parents were abusive. She did not even give me a proper diagnosis. That took 20 more years to get that from another provider. She is full of herself and it is all about her. She had the chance to stop the abuse I was enduring as a child and instead she was totally tricked into believing the abuser and let me, the child suffer.

Our son was hospitalized at age 6 for his increasingly violent rages and other mental health issues. He had been seeing a doctor at a clinic. At discharge, it was felt that he would benefit from seeing a private psychiatrist who could give him the time/attention he needed. We asked for a recommendation and were given Dr. Bauer's name but told that they knew nothing about her except her proximity to our home and that she was taking new clients. At the 1st visit, she ignored our son and just rambled on about the woeful lack of adequate mental health providers for children. As if my husband & I were not aware of this? On the 2nd visit, I took my son w/o my husband and it was the same. At 11 pm that night, she called me at our home and told me she felt that our son was possibly schizophrenic. I panicked, called every doctor I knew and some I didn't. All were unanimous that we discontinue seeing her. I caution those who consider using her. I have no explanation for her bizarre behavior
