My dealings with Dr. Layne have left me wondering how he ever became a doctor let alone a psychiatrist. I found him uncaring, inattentive, arrogant, condescending, and downright rude and argumentative at times. Dr. Layne is a clinician with the Center for Family Guidance (CFG) in Westampton NJ. CFG assigns each patient a counselor for therapy sessions and a clinician for medication management. I have been a CFG patient for several years and have always been more than satisfied with the treatment I received until my assigned clinician left the practice and I was re-assigned to Dr. Layne. I never felt very comfortable with him but the more I got to know him the more I realized how truly out of touch he is. After my last 2 sessions I have come to believe that his horrible attitude and almost nasty demeanor could actually be detrimental to the mental health of some of his more fragile or sensitive patients. Dr. Layne is good for a signature on a script. Period.
