Dr. Semrad is TERRIBLE!!!! She doesnt listen to her patients at all. She believes she has the answers to everything and refuses to listen to other solutions. She believs that prolonged TPN use is the best solution to every GI related problem and doesnt consider any other treatment option. Inwas on TPN for more than 6 months and had to force her and the team to remove my PICC line. I complained often about sick the TPN made me but all complaints fell on deaf ears. Find yourself another doctor. She's awful!

Horrible doctor. Instead of helping to find a solution to my problem, she instead placed me on long-term TPN use (greater than 6 months) with minimal follow up. It was a member of her team who finally left and steered me in the direction of the GI/Colorectal Surgeons that I absolutely adore. They figured out almost immediately that my colon was dying and needed to be removed promptly. Steer clear of Dr. Semrad if you want real help. See Dr. Brenner at Northwestern instead for good, quality, professional care!
