I have had 3 surgeries from de.Schoen. He was upset with me because I couldn’t stay off my foot. I have two kids and a husband who is in the military, he was deployed and I didn’t have a choice. The last surgery was horrible! I went in the hospital for surgery on my foot. I had a few things done at the same time so he admitted me. While I was in the hospital: Dr Schoens original order sais bedside commode. The nurses brought me a bed pan. I couldn’t use it. So the nurse got angry and all of the nurses put me on their (I don’t care) list.
I asked to go to the bathroom, 45! Minutes later they sent a tech in to help me. Still no bedside commode. So I asked again for a commode and the tech just looked at me and didn’t say one word to me, and she didn’t help me. I had to use a knee walker by myself with no help! I went into the bathroom, pulled up to the toilet and all I had to do was turn and sit BUT I fell and broke my tibia/fibia. The tech wasn’t there when I tried to reach her, she left the bathroom before I sat down. The handicap bar was behind me and I couldn’t reach it. The night after my second surgery the nerve block wore off. I cried for 4 hours and only one male nurse came to give meds. (Not pain meds.) I know their supposed to check on me every hour or so. I asked for the on call doc to come see me. He didn’t, he wouldn’t give me meds cause he thought I was getting enough. I got 4 pain pills in 5 days!! I have serious bone issues and take 3 Percocet a day

I had been to this doctor once in 2017. No complaints. I went to him 6/12/2020, for a foot problem, corn and cutting toe nails. I am diabetic on insulin. Had my 4 year old granddaughter with me and he and his staff were wonderful with her and myself. I do not understand the negative remarks written here. Of course my foot problems have required no surgery. He and his staff were very friendly and seemed to know thier business. So here is a great review for this particular doctor!

Never go to Dr Schoen. He told me that I had bone fragments in my pinky toes that I broke 3 months prior and was still having pain. He said the only option I had to relieve my pain was surgery. I agreed to have the surgery and asked if he could take care of the bunion I had on the same foot. Come to find out (after surgery) I did not have bone fragments and he broke my big toe and inserted to screws to fix my bunion. OMG, what ever happened to the simple procedure of shaving the bunion?? The 2 huge chop job on my pinky toes looks horrible. Dr. Schoen knew he screwed up because he offered me "free" surgery to go back in and try to fix the problem. HECK NO!! I went and got a second option and the now doctor told me to never go back to Dr Schoen because he has had several of his patients that he had to fix the damage that Dr Schoen did. I am in so much pain I don't know who to trust anymore. Thanks a lot Dr Schoen for messing up my foot. I am in more pain than I was when I walked in your office.
