I had my eyes examined at Banks & found the staff friendly & helpful. Had to wait a bit but not any longer than any other doctor visits. Doctor was friendly & knowledgeable & my lenses were fine. I had my eyes examined there but bought my glasses at Eye Care Center in New Bern. I might add I had been to a few other eye centers but had bad experiences with their eye doctors. Banks no problems. One thing negative is they have a minimal selection of eyeglasses.

HOLY COW! Did the other person go to the same place that I've been going for many years! The ladies at the front counter are lovely people ... very friendly! Dr. Banks is *fantastic*! He's one of the best-known optometrists in the state of North Carolina. I've never seen any medical professional spend so much time, and show so much genuine care, and respect for his patients. He is so good, in fact, that even though I've had to move from the area to outside Washington, DC, my family insists that we go back there every year to get everyone's eyes checked. I can not rate him, or his practice, high enough! Go to Walmart for my family's eyes? Not when Dr. Banks is around, for sure!

Didn't like ladies at front desk.Not real friendly.Doctor was cold and didnt get correct diagnosis.Not helpful waste of my time.Real happy with my new husband wife team at walmart.
