I have been a patient of Dr. Shakr's for over 20 years. I couldn't agree with the other ladies comments more. Dr Shakr's medical knowledge and outstanding bedside manner makes him a premier doctor and human being. If additional tests are needed, you even get a personal phone call from him to discuss the results. Unfortunately, I also must doubly agree with the review from October 2012, His office billing staff is outrageously inept and unprofessional. I too had a problem with dates of service and my insurance company after TWICE being told by his office administration I would be covered. Even after supplying dates, times and names to the billing staff via phone calls, emails and certified mail, they refused to discussed the issue. Ultimately, I had to speak to Dr. Shakr who quickly took care of the issue after 4 months of serious aggregation. I also agree with previous review, get it in writing from his office that your dates of service are covered. Unfortunately, his billing staff could be a deal breaker for some.

I wish I could have Dr. Shakr for my primary care. He is compassionate, prepared, investigative , discreet and wonderful. He calls you back anytime. I wish every doctor could be like Dr. Shakr.

There is no on/gyn better than Dr Christos Shakr. He's comoassionate and takes whatever time you need to discuss any issues you might have. On the otherhand, his billing staff is simply horrible from the billing clerk to the administrator. After one phone call to the billing clerk, they simply refused to respond to emails, letters or calls. Be careful that YOU insure everything that THEY do is covered by your insurance. Do not trust what they tell you, unless it is in writing. They left me with a $500+ bill because they used the wrong last date of service. Ultimately they said it was my responsibility, regardless.

Wonderful, compassionate doctor who solved problems that other doctors couldn't. Sensitive, knowledgable and considerate man. I've had several gynecologists over the years and he is, by and far, the nicest and smartest. Wish I had known him when I was pregnant. I think I would have gotten a better quality of care than I did in a Boston Hospital with a Boston dr.

Takes time with patient and is very compassionate. You are no just a number, he remembers his patients. He figured out my migraines when a neurologist couldn't. A+ care
