I found Dr. Ansari compassionate, honest and direct. I had tried pretty much every modern antidepressant. Dr. Ansari asked me, "Why are you fiddling around with all these pills?" What he meant was that if I wanted real relief I should get ECT, and stop trying to accomplish the impossible--effective relief with antidepressants alone.

It turned out that ECT was not a good choice for me, as it caused significant amnesia. But there was no way for anyone to have predicted that. I found Dr. Ansari likable and helpful. He did not condescend to me. He even used a little humor. My interactions with him were very helpful.

This doctor does not want what is best for his patients. He does not care for his patients wants/needs and he has no problem violating their needs. He is willing to force his patinets to have ect tratment against their will. I think this vioates his oath of "do no harm"!
