Dr. Sawusch is an outstanding opthamologist and has always been of great help to my husband and myself. He is patient and professional in his diagnosis and treatment. His staff is most helpful!

Referred to Dr. Sawusch, to have my disabled sister's eyes dilated after the opt. found cataracts. He has to hold papers about 2" from his face in order to see. He didn't dilate her eyes, just looked & says she has cataracts & suggests surgery. I said the other doctor didn't feel they were bad enough for surg. He said if she wanted 20/20 vis., she had to have surg. Then he asks if she drives! I tell him no. He said, "If she can't read or drive, there's no point in having the surg." I ask him if the cataracts could be causing the problem with her going down stairs. He starts going on about how it could be arthritis, etc., & couldn't guar. that surgery would fix it. I said, "But it COULD help." He just kept arguing. I told him that I felt like he was just arguing with me now & he threw his arms up in the air & shouted, "Fine!" turned his back & walked away.
