I love Dr. Rudd. I was a little apprehensive about seeing him because of his negative reviews, but he was recommended to me by to different doctors and I'm so glad I went. He is not very punctual, but very knowledgeable and frank. He tells you how things are and why and if he doesn't know the answer, he will get back to you or refer you to where you can find the answer.

Dr. Richard Rudd is the worst OB physician that I have seen. I went in for an appointment for the women's annual visit at 4 pm and had to wait an entire hour until 5 pm to be seen. The doctor handles patients very poorly and cut me during the pap smear. I was bleeding for two days. I got out of the office at 6:00 pm. Lastly, the billing service in his office are incompetent and lack customer service. They charged me for an office visit instead of the annual women's visit. As a result, I had to pay out of pocket from my deductible instead of my insurance covering at 100%. I strongly discourage anyone from considering this Dr. Richard Rudd. Go to another office and don't waste your time here.

I had a scheduled appointment arrived (on time)and was notified that Dr.Rudd was held up and I could either wait or reschdule. Since I'd already taken off work, I waited...over an hour, he seen me (after taking my copay) for 5mins to tell me that my xray's had not been delivered and I'd have to come back. WTH? When I came back, (another copay) he was patient with me, went over my condition, explained in detail, did a fair exam (bcz when are they ever comfortable) but never followed up.

This was my first to this Doctor. I waited for 1.5hr after my scheduled appt to be seen for annual women checkup and OB/GYN. He was knowledge and talked about my birth control pills and what to do when ready to have a baby. He did a poor job with the pap smear and cut me and hurt a lot and was bleeding for about a day or so afterwards. Very unconfortable experience. I was disappointed by how long I had to wait at the office because I got out early from work.

Gee, I had a much different experience with Dr. Rudd, and he has functioned as my OB and gynecologist for 15 years. I have found him very gentle--he has a reputation for being a superlative surgeon, and a lot of female physicians and physician spouses go to him--and very smart. He can be shy, initially, which can be construed as coldness on his part, but he warms up, especially as the clinical relationship continues. He has an amazing fund of not only obstertrics and gynecology but is quite smart about other conditions as well. He has been nothing but gentle with me regarding pap smears and pelvic exams and was very supportive and helpful through two pregnancies where I needed IV intervention and anti-emetic meds because I could not stop vomiting with either child, and I was losing weight. He also committed to delivering both of my children, which he did, and respected that I wanted an epidermal as soon as I drove into the hospital parking lot. I have many friends who are thrilled with him, as well.

Dr. Richard Rudd is not gentle. I took my wife to him for a routine procedure and she was out bleeding and in tremendous pain. He goofed it very badly. Another doctor in his practice had performed the same procedure couple of months before and it went pain-free and well so we had insisted that she should repeat it, however, because she was not free, the staff sent my wife to Rudd (in the same office). I would never recommend this doctor to any of my friends.
