Both of my boys had terrible Sever's disease. I was unaware of the one stretch with my oldest son (now 15) until it was too late. After two plus years of constant pain, he then developed a stress fracture as well as 3 stress reactions in his feet. He spent four months sitting out until I got in contact with Dr. Amis. He used his one stretch for 5 weeks and now is back playing competitively. (All other docs wanted him to go through surgery - bone graft & screws.) My 12 year old son recently started complaining about his heel pain. I put him immediately on the one stretch and he is feeling better after 2 weeks. Both of my boys use the one stretch every night. There are some nights that they will jump out of bed and do these stretches because they forgot to do them earlier in the night. The cost of this one stretch is so minimal compared to all the heel cups, arches, and doctor visits. We even take ours on vacation because it has helped them so much. Thank you DR. Amis!

Dropped me as a patient with no reason given. Did not do surgery on me, and I had to find another surgeon to work with my injury/surgery. When I finally had surgery, my injury was found to be pretty severe. He's very into stretching for most foot/ankle ailments. I think it made my problem worse. I had specific questions and was given grief for asking too many. Waited 2 hours at my 2nd appointment and was told he would not answer any questions when it was my turn to see him.

Dr. Amis specializes in feet and is the best in the tri state. He is conservative and does not rush into surgery. He fused the bones in my left foot with 5 screws and a bone graft and I healed with no pain and it is good as new. Now I have 2nd mtp synovitis that was misdiagnosed in FL as a stress fracture. Hopefully his stretching excises will work. The only problem is getting an appointment. He is so popular you will have to wait a long time to see him.

I came to Dr. Amis with a failed repair of a torn anterior tendon. He determined that he would do a very complicated procedure to repair using other tendons. An infection ensued and I have been left with a nearly useless ankle. No flexibility. Getting another opinion at the New York Hospital for Special Surgery, I was told that after the botched operation, there was nothing they could do.

I was told to have surgery and go see Dr Amis. I went to him and he said--surgery should not be our first option! (yeah) He gave me so much advice and intelligent logic to the healing of my ankle. I was BEYOND impressed and would recc. him to anyone with ankle "issues". Thank you , Dr Amis!!
