Performed a root canal on a healthy tooth. Did not schedule second appointment for over a month to reinforce tooth. Root canal failed and after paying for the procedure I lost the tooth. He did not use up to date method and it was painful for weeks even before the tooth cracked and became abscessed. Only after having a root canal by a different dentist did I realize what a poor job Dr Smiley had done and that it resulted in me losing a healthy tooth. He accepted no responsibility, offered no refund or discount and then wanted to charge me an additional large fee for an implant. I would not recommend him for a root canal but he is capable of routine procedures.
